Special education students face a number of obstacles. In addition to physical, emotional, and learning challenges, many of my students also come from lower income households (with 100% qualifying for free lunch). We would like to help remove some of the barriers these students face. Although they may lack access to some resources at home, my students are enthusiastic learners with generous spirits who love to share, to smile, and to earn rewards for good behavior or academic progress. We would like to provide opportunities for these students to learn at the same level as more privileged peers and to help them close the achievement gap. We thank you for your support!
