Lone Star Golf Association is awesome!!! You have been our biggest supporter for years. We love and appreciate your mission work to grow golf among the young and diverse populations.
Thank you for funding that single handedly allowed us to receive 14 Sunday Golf Bags for the Boys and Girls, 3 dozen Birdie Balls, and 3 Alignment swing mats. The Sunday Bags have allowed the students the ability to transport and carry their golf clubs with greater ease. The Birdie Balls and Alignments Mats have been great tools to teach the students proper impact of the clubface and swing path of the golf swing.

Recently, our nearest Golf course for practice has closed to become a beautiful future Houston Botanical Garden. To practice the Golf swing...whew..need lots of practice, the students need some range time. We cannot economically get to the range, so the range is coming to us. We are going to set up 2 semi-permanent hitting bays, 10x10x10, and need the nets. We also need 2 golf mats for those two hitting bays. (we will build out the frames ourselves if not included with nets) The more repeatable the golf swing, the more confidence the students will have when we play the other schools. Additionally, we will be maintaining an area to practice chipping and putting near our school tennis courts. Thank you for reading! When you can, go swing a golf club and you will know that wonder of challenge and success...what our kids are feeling!!
