Stations at the elementary level are a key to student engagement and success. With my limited resources, I am unable to make my stations as fun and engaging as I would like to. I have created this project to fund the purchase of items that would turn my dream stations into a reality. Kids are motivated to learn when the environment is fun and engaging. The money and place value blocks will allow my students to be hands-on with math. I also would like a math game that is a fun way to reinforce my instruction. A strong foundation in addition and subtraction are needed and a fun way to engage in these topics is through the use of wrap-up keys. QUIZMO is a bingo set in the areas of math and literacy- kids of all ages love bingo. The final item I added to my list is a game on consequences which allows students to think about making decisions based on integrity- such a good character game. All of these items will allow me to make my stations more fun and engaging for my students.
