  • The Gift of Learning

    Funded Jul 12, 2022

We were so happy to deliver the pencil cases to the students at the elementary school near our high school, and it was so much fun spending time with them. Their teachers were grateful they could also provide supplies to their students over the summer. At our recent senior celebration ceremony, the guest speaker spoke about returning to the city to help the next generation succeed. We saw firsthand how important it is to guide the children and students that will one day follow in our footsteps when they enter high school. It was a wonderful way to end our year. Thank you again for all of your support.”

  • A Kid at Heart...Take 2

    Funded Feb 8, 2023

Thank you again for supporting this project. We are having so much fun working with the children in our community. In March, our student government hosted a family game night, which was a huge success, thanks to your support. We were able to have five game stations using the materials from this project. In addition, we continue to volunteer at our local Ronald McDonald House each month. We use the games to help plan fun activities for the children and their families. We are happy to support our community and grow as leaders. Again, thank you for your support.”

  • A Kid at Heart

    Funded Dec 18, 2022

Thank you for donating to our classroom. We couldn't believe how fast this project was funded! My students were so surprised and excited when I told them this morning. We met some amazing kids and families when we volunteered to serve dinner; they are truly inspiring. We are looking forward to our next visit after the New Year. Now that we have games to play, our experience will be more rewarding. This project has also helped my students take on leadership roles in our school as they help plan the games and the dinner. We want to build our partnership with the Ronald McDonald House and keep this project going for many years. As always, thank you for supporting us.”

  • Our Futures Are Bright

    Funded Aug 10, 2022

Thank you for supporting our classroom once again. We always appreciate that you chose to donate to our project. This year, more than ever, the SAT prep books are helpful. The students recently received their PSATs scores and will take the SATs in March. The books will help them focus on the sections they want to improve and help them develop critical test-taking strategies. We use the books as an additional resource in class and focus on the history reading passages in my class. Our confidence grows each time, and we now have a better idea of what to expect when we take the SATs in March. Again, thank you for your support.”

  • Updated Technology for an Updated Classroom Part 2

    Funded Apr 7, 2022

Thank you again for your support. This project has made help make our classroom more interactive and engaging. We can use technology to help each other learn from each other. We love going up to the board to show our work; it helps that we can see the screen and notes in real-time. Many of us learn differently, and the new technology allows us to be more creative. In addition, it helps us save the notes to our class Google Drive, so we have it for reference and to help students that missed class still complete the assignment. We appreciate your kindness and desire to help us grow.”

  • Updated Technology For An Updated Classroom

    Funded Feb 9, 2022

Thank you so much for your support! This is our first year back in person since Covid started in 2020 and we are in brand new building! There is nothing like in person learning and we have enjoyed many events. We just had a presentation by a local historian on WWI and are preparing for our annual Science Fair. The new technology has helped us research our project and compile data.We were able to have students in our school complete the polls right on the iPad so we were able to collect more data then if we just messaged students. Next, we will create an interactive presenation for our presentation in June.”

  • A Splash of Color...Ink!

    Funded Nov 30, 2021

Thank you for supporting our classroom! We love having a color printer in our classroom and the ink helps us to use the printer throughout the year. We have been busy creating flyers for fundraisers, creating personal works books, and writing essays for college and scholarship applications. The building copiers don't connect to our school laptops but the classroom printer does so it makes it easier to print our assignments. Also, our school copiers do not print in color. The classroom printer does print in color and makes our projects look more professional.”

  • A Splash of Color...Ink!

    Funded Jul 20, 2021

After being remote for over a year, we are finally back in a new building. It has been such a long time since we have shared a classroom together. So far this year, the students have been busy preparing for the SATs, student council elections, making Thanksgiving baskets for families, and so much more. The printer in our classroom and toner have helped us with all of these projects. They were able to print their admission tickets for the SATs, create campaign flyers to run for student council and for the Thanksgiving food drive, including cards for each of the baskets. They have also used it to print their assignments including college essays and AP U.S. History essays. I and other teachers are able to mark up their drafts and give them feedback. Having a printer in our classroom is a great resource and I am thankful that your donations help us to use it throughout the year. Thank you again for all of your support.”

  • A Cricut Cut Above the Rest

    Funded Sep 6, 2020

Thank you for your ongoing support during this unprecedented time. After being remote for over a year, we are finally back in a new building. It has been such a long time since we have shared a classroom together. Our first big event of the year was homecoming! The students looked amazing and it was great to see them enjoy themselves. Each year, the senior class picks a theme and then creates all the decorations for the homecoming pageant and the show. This year, we used our new Cricut machine to customize the decorations and sashes for the court and the king and queen. We also used it to make bulleting boards in the classroom and will be making pencil cases some students at the elementary school next to ours. Thank you again for supporting our class!”

  • Graphic Novels for History Lovers

    Funded Jul 15, 2021

Thank you for supporting our classroom! I have wanted to post this project for a while and was so excited to see it funded. The graphic novels to teach and share my love of history is wonderful. It is also a great way to teach them about topics that aren't covered in our textbooks. The graphic novels we have are not only from history, but also from the men who experienced it. John Lewis and George Takei share their stories in an engaging and powerful manner.

Usually, my students read the textbook each week for our lessons. Many of my students are visual learners. The graphic novels have sparked their interest to learn more about these pivotal moments in history. They can read the graphic novels whenever they want and we plan to start a book club. I love when my students are excited to learn about history. It opens up the way for more research and meaningful discussions.”
