  • Buzzing to Proficiency

    Funded Aug 22, 2024

Thank you for contributing to my students' reading success. IXL assists me in many ways, from the wonders curriculum to preparing the students for the FAST STATE TEST. The students can use the computer instead of paper and pencil. The kids love IXL, and I believe it helps motivate them to learn in the class. The district provides IXL MATH for the students, but with your funding, I was able to get READING! That is a big deal as a reading teacher because my students can also do IXL from cellular devices or anywhere.

My goal is to use IXL for my studies soon. Thank you for your support and many blessings.”

    Mrs. Ford

  • Flexible Organized Furniture

    Funded Apr 28, 2020

Flexible seating can have a significant impact on a classroom in multiple ways. First and foremost, it can enhance student engagement and participation by allowing students to choose a seating arrangement that suits their learning style and comfort level. Students who can decide where they sit are more likely to be motivated and engaged in learning.

Moreover, flexible seating can help to create a more collaborative and inclusive learning environment. It encourages students to collaborate and share ideas, leading to more meaningful discussions and deeper learning. It can also help break down social barriers and promote positive student interactions.

Another advantage of flexible seating is that it can help students develop essential life skills such as responsibility, self-regulation, and decision-making. By giving students the power to choose their seating, they are also responsible for taking care of their preferred seat and using it appropriately.

Overall, flexible seating can help create a more dynamic, student-centered learning environment that fosters student growth and success.”

  • Reading Skills to Buzz About!

    Funded Oct 16, 2023

Since implementing IXL in our classroom, I have noticed a significant increase in my students' reading proficiency. The program's adaptive learning technology has allowed each student to work at their own pace and level, ensuring that they are challenged but not overwhelmed. The interactive format of the program keeps students engaged and motivated to continue learning. IXL provides immediate feedback and explanations for correct and incorrect answers, which has helped my students to understand their mistakes and learn from them. Additionally, the program provides detailed reports that allow me to track the progress of each student and identify areas that need improvement. Overall, I have found IXL to be an effective tool in improving my students' reading skills.”

  • Buzzin Our Way Through Flexible Seating

    Funded May 21, 2019

Thank you for donation. My students have been soaring high with the material requested. We are always thankful for our donors. Flexible seating has given my students the power to seek control of their learning. My students pick a seat in an area near a friend that will help them be responsible for their learning. It has shown a lot of growth inside of my classroom. I like for my students to feel free and at ease. I like structure, but do not like my students to feel like learning is a hassle. Learning should be fun and encouraging with the help of others.”

  • Seating to Buzz About!

    Funded Mar 27, 2018

I am so grateful for this donation. My family and friends always support my projects. However, I am thankful for a new supporter and that is Ripple. You guys have blessed a lot of classrooms. As you guys can see from the pictures my students were beaming with joy about the new items. We came back from Spring break to wonderful news. My students are more comfortable in these seating. I have been able to manage the behavior in the classroom with the help of the seating. Everyone wants to behave so they can use the balance ball or wobble chairs. I am happy to try new methods in my classroom and learning is becoming more fun for my students.”

  • Buzzing for an iPad

    Funded Aug 5, 2017

Technology plays a vital role in the way my students learn. My students were so excited when they saw the iPad. They were ready to use it as soon as I showed it to them. In elementary we use a lot of software. There are many we can choose from such as, Brainpopjr and iReady.

These websites help my students work on different subject areas inside of the classroom. It is giving them another approach to learning. I love teaching them whole group, but I like for them to receive the information in another form. The kids are very hands on with technology.

Thank you for always supporting our classroom and our dreams. We use everything that is donated to us.”

  • The Write Way to Get Our BUZZ On!

    Funded Jun 6, 2017

This project has helped my students in a lot of ways. We are able to complete center rotations, maximize space inside of the classroom, and have fun while learning. My parents and students love this writer center. Everyone thinks it is so adorable and age appropriate for my kids.

My students are more engaged during centers this year. They cannot wait to get to the writing table. There are only two chairs so they have to share it. This encourages the kids to be well behaved and enjoy their time at the table.

Our next step for this table is to make it a table for my students who finish their work early. They will be able to go there and work on a fun assignment. I want to thank everyone again for making this possible.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Ford

The whiteboard has given us a copious amount of space in class. We are able to use the whiteboards and focus on our work. Thank you so much for making learning a breeze.”

I am happy to announce that we have been very busy with the resources you donated to our classroom. My students are always excited when I tell them we received a donation. They are always happy to see me opening up a new box. The games we received made a huge difference in my classroom.

My students are delighted to come to class early and play with the games. They come in together and are learning before school hours. I am happy to see them eager to learn while having fun with a game. The games are making my classroom environment fun.

I am happy that you guys helped make learning inside of the Bee Hive fun.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Ford

I have several buzzing first graders. Our Bee Hive is extremely diverse. Majority of my classroom receives free and reduced lunch. I teach my students all four subjects. Our classroom is big on centers and student centered learning. We come into the Bee Hive eager to learn. Then we exit the Bee Hive as new and eager second graders. Each year is a pleasure working with wonderful first graders. My personal goal is to prepare my kids intellectually and emotionally for the next grade level. We use a variety of resources such as technology and small group learning activities. All of these things enhance the classroom environment. This is what makes my classroom a great place for learning.
