  • Hop and Run!

    Funded Feb 25, 2023

My students are having a wonderful time! They rush to the lunchroom and become engrossed with all the games. They don't even want to eat, we have to insist they get their lunch. Thanks to these items we had a significant decrease in behavioral issues and student conflicts. When students are engaged they tend to be preoccupied with the activities and do not resort to aggressive actions.

The school culture has changed and students like to come in everyday expecting to have a good time. Social emotional learning has evolved and improved our student outcomes thanks to your generosity.

Thank you so much for your support!”

  • Girls Exercise Routine

    Funded Feb 21, 2023

Thanks to your donations we were able to keep students engaged and active. Since our yard has been under construction our students have been in the cafeteria the whole recess. These games and exercise items made it so much fun for them. We had minimal incidents and behavior issues. Because they were engaged at all times students were more focused when they returned to the classroom. We have expanded our social activities and the social worker and counselors facilitate games for every grade.

These items have had a significant positive impact in the social interactions of our special education kids as well. Thank you so much for your support.”

  • Computer Access for All

    Funded Feb 8, 2023

Thanks to your generosity I have been able to complete my work more efficiently. The high school application process was completed in a timely fashion and all my students got admitted to the school of their choice.

Having an additional laptop allowed me to meet with students in different areas of the school, and minimized the time they spent out of class to meet with me. Additionally, I was able to set up a mobile counseling station in the cafeteria to meet with students during their lunch. It proved to be a success for both, the students and myself.

    Thanks again for your support.”

  • College and Career Ready!

    Funded Oct 18, 2022

Thank you so much for donating and contributing to buying the iPad for my students. Having the necessary tools is important if we are going to have a significant impact on the lives of our students. The Ipad allows me to expedite the process of the high school application and students are able to log in and submit the paperwork right in front of me. I am forever grateful and feel motivated knowing that people like you believe in our work. I look forward to a successful year with huge academic growth and having all my students admitted to the school of their first choice.”

  • Educational Tech Classroom

    Funded Oct 12, 2022

Thank you so much for paying for the headphones and tech resources for our classroom. My students get easily distracted and at times overly stimulated by their surroundings. Thanks to these resources they are able to focus on the task at hand and complete their assessment independently.

Students with special needs require intervention services that block out distraction, these technological items have made a difference when students are working on their iready math and ELA assignments. Additionally, when students are upset or have a hard time coping with the stressors of the day they can put on relaxing music and destress from the academic pressure.

    Thank you so much!”

  • Life Is Colorful

    Funded Oct 21, 2022

Thank you so much for helping us get the color printer. Students were able to print their presentations in color and felt very proud of how professional they looked. Our students expressed feeling proud of their posters and worked really hard to make their corrections before publishing. Additionally, students were able to print color handouts of flyers and newsletters to take home. They are now working on anti-bullying posters and vision boards. Everyone is signing up to do their printing and show off their creations.

    Thank you so much!”

  • Graduation Rehearsal Audio System

    Funded Nov 16, 2022

I have just discovered the talent that was hidden behind those beautiful faces! Now that the speakers are up and functioning my students have showcased their talents. I did not know that these simple resources would be such a hit. My students beg to be able to use the microphone and sing. We will now be giving them that opportunity during the lunch periods. Not only do we have what we need for a graduation rehearsal, but we also have the opportunity to do talent shows and play music during their free periods. This is now motivating students to come into school and earn the use of the speaker and microphone to do karaoke.

    Thanks so much!”

  • Beautiful Me!

    Funded Nov 6, 2022

My students were static! When they saw the professional make-up artist's chair they started jumping up and down in a circle. They also went on youtube and started watching video tutorials on beauty techniques. Self-care and acceptance during puberty and teenage years are absolutely one of the major hurdles. These resources have made their school experience more meaningful. They stated that aside from academics, they need some hands-on activities like these. They are learning these skills so that they can have additional ways to someday make money. They said they need a "side hustle"

Thank you so much! You really make a difference in the lives of our future leaders.”

As a School Counselor I want to provide a welcoming and loving space where students can participate in a series of group counseling and individual counseling sessions. Many of my students are plagued by major life stressors, including domestic violence, gang violence, child abuse, sexual abuse, and the loss of loved ones. Many of my students need a place that feels safe, warm, and relaxing. I want to create a therapeutic room that includes nice comfortable bean bag seats (to relieve stress) and lots of arts and crafts to help them express their emotions through the arts.
