My students are extremely caring and creative. Most lack the resources for success as well as the tools to excel and cultivate their passions. I have had the joy of getting to know the students at Linda Abril over the last year and they consistently surprise me with their compassion and drive to help others. Each and every student has their own unique story and background which leads them to who they are today. Many are seeking to better themselves and the world around them. It is wonderful to hear their ambitions and dreams, most seeking nigger and better things. These students deserve the opportunity to have access to the resources and tools that many others have in higher income areas. These students often lack basic necessities and go without meals. Students travel as far as 40 miles to get to this school everyday, typically by bus. These kids are dedicated to their education.
