Teachers Are Always Planning!
Funded Aug 26, 2019I would like to extend my sincere gratitude for your contribution to the success of my classroom. Before the Covid shutdown, my students were in the habit of going right to the file folder crate in the back of the room to get any papers that they needed. It was so nice to have that resource for them so that they could get the papers they needed in a timely manner! Also, this meant I got to keep teaching and did not have to stop to find papers. This is an example of something small that really makes a big change in the flow of the classroom!
My students were grateful to have materials in the classroom. We often do not have extra paper towels, pencils, etc and spend time finding those materials. Having them on hand when we did a lab or classroom activity really helped us maximize our learning time.
The classroom has looked very different this year due to Covid. Almost all of the content my students have received this year has been in a virtual format. While I am grateful for the opportunity to rely on technology, I am looking forward to doing activities and handing out papers next school year. I think the students will be excited to do lab activities next year with their peers!”

Funded Jul 4, 2018I want to take the time to thank you for making an impact in my classroom this school year! We have been able to use the fan that you've donated all year. Our classroom is warm in the summer and winter months and it is nice to have a breeze in the room. Additionally, the fan is quiet and we are still able to hear each other talking while the fan is on! Students have been able to move the fan by them or to a different part of the room easily because it is very light!
Thanks again for all that you do and for making an impact in my classroom this school year!”

We're Projecting Success!
Funded Aug 21, 2017This project helps my co-teacher and I run our classroom procedures more smooth every class period! Having the extra projector screen ensures that all students can see the agenda or whatever content we need them to see all at once. We love saying, "look at the screen closest to you" and not having to tell certain students to just deal with it because their seat happens to be far from the screen. Since this project was funded and the materials came quite quickly, the freshmen students that we teach have never experienced digital agendas without having 2 screens! I think that this has made this part of our classroom procedure more effective.
Although the projector has made the biggest impact in the classroom, all of the supplies that I ordered with it go to use almost every day. I definitely do not miss the mess of pencil shavings on the floor under the handle pencil sharpener that is attached to the wall! My students love using the electric pencil sharpener and appreciate the cup of new pencils we have for them to use when they do not have them.
In addition, my co-teacher and I have been able to do some cool activities, such as collaboration protocols where each student gets one color marker and they only use that color throughout the activity. It would have been a huge hassle to do this without the class packs of markers. We appreciate being able to just grab the class packs of markers and not having to worry about collecting and finding a certain number of colors of markers. We have also been able to use post-its for exit tickets and not have to worry about running out. Lastly, we have been able to stay organized for all different types of activities with the storage bins that I ordered. It is very convenient to tell students to put a foldable or whatever it might be into a certain container!
I have explained to a few students exactly how my co-teacher and I got the materials for activities that we do in the classroom. I love explaining this because they always seem so grateful and curious that someone outside our classroom cares enough to make sure they have materials!”
