The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students already have a use. I know exactly how we are going to use them. We just need your help in getting everything through our door! The kinetic sand and the little hands fine motor skills, tweezers, will be used to help them develop the fine motor skills needed to hold a pencil, turn book pages, and draw (show their creative side).
The extra large messy mats will help us keep our tables clean and mess free while we build letters, use paint to create letters and while doing math (number sense, addition, subtraction). The double sided magnetic write and wipe boards will be used along with the magnetic letters to identify letter sound, letter recognition, word formation and to differentiate their learning station according to their level and to meet their needs.
The hear myself sound phones will be used during small group instruction, intervention time and independent reading practice according to each student's academic needs. Kindergartners are developing their listening, speaking and reading skills and having the sound phones will definitely will be an asset in our class.
The reusable write and wipe pockets will be used for read the room, count the room, practice letter and word formation as well as tracing.
The find the letter activity center will be used for independent practice during center time.
My kids are very creative and in order for them to exercise their creativity we need to have the right tools like jumbo crayons that fit perfectly in their little hands, and the dot art painters can be used in a variety of activities like counting, drawing, matching, number sense, phonics - the possibilities are endless. The donations to this project will help to improve my students' love of learning.
