The materials we use day to day in the classroom really help shape students learning and understanding of concepts just based on the way they are presented to students. These materials will really help my students succeed in all areas of their learning! Along with the items I have talked about below, I have found that two of the things my students respond to the best are positive praise and rewards! Thats where the candy comes into play, my kiddos have a lot going on and I find that the positive praise and rewards work the best for about of students even in the worst of situations! One of the items I have included for my kiddos in my project is a grocery store game. This game is an awesome resource for my kiddos who are working on improving their social skills and independent living skills. A lot of times during lunch bunches or breaks in the day, my kids will ask to play a game. This game is one of those games that is not only fun but can be education as well. Another item that I have included in my project are stress managing manipulatives & calming fidgets students can use to help them relieve some stress and calm themselves down when feeling frustrated, angry, or upset. My students respond very well to these manipulatives because they help them feel better, which in turn leads to them getting back into learning!
