Social & Emotional Learning Spaces
Funded Nov 29, 2021The resources that you helped to purchase for our counseling department of been useful in so many ways. Our students have utilized the markers and the rainbow scratch paper as a medium to express their emotions. These items have also served as an ice breaker for students who come to the counseling office, but may not feel totally comfortable with opening up yet. The items purchased for the bulletin board have been shared with staff throughout the building, helping us to unify an important message about choices, goals, and achievement.
When our students were told that these items were donated to us by you, their faces light up and their belief in good deeds and kindness is reinforced.
The items you purchased will not only be used in counseling sessions throughout the remainder of this school year, but they will also help us to build bridges and open doors for communication with our students next year as well.”

Motivate in Order to Educate!
Funded Jan 28, 2022Words cannot express the appreciation I feel for your generosity. I know our students will feel the same when the items arrive.
Your act of kindness will help our kids' basic needs be met, freeing them up to focus on moving onward & upward.
I cannot wait to share the news with the rest of the school.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Buttacavoli
This classroom project was brought to life by Veronica Beard and one other donor.Safe Spaces Create Successful Students!
Funded Jan 29, 2019Your donation has helped all of the school counselors and teachers to create a safe space for the students in our school. The bottled water that your grant provided has been used to calm students down in high stress situations (i.e. situations of conflict and on standardized testing days).
Cases were given to each counselor and student based support provider in our school, so that each office can be well equipped.
Considering the majority of our water fountains are contaminated with lead, a simple staple like bottled water has helped to change the culture of our school.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Buttacavoli
