I have a very diverse classroom where students come from a wide range of socio-economic backgrounds. The students that this listening center would directly benefit are those who come from underprivileged backgrounds. While they are currently in the second grade, they have missed out on acquiring basic kindergarten and first grade reading skills. Without these skills, these students have been very challenged this past year. Nevertheless, they are resilient students who put an extreme amount of effort in their school work. They aspire to do their best in spite of these challenges. Please help support these students in helping develop a very necessary skill to their lives.

About my class
