Chromebooks for our Classroom!
Funded Feb 4, 2019I don't have enough words to express my gratitude for what you all have done by providing funding for Chromebooks for my classroom.. When I created this project I had serious doubts about my ability to find enough donations to make this happen. It is truly amazing to me that so many generous people have given to this project!
Your donation means so much to me and to my students. The impact this will make for my current and future students will be huge. Every subject area will be positively affected by this addition to our classroom. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!”

An Apple (iPad) for the Teacher’s Students
Funded Apr 4, 2015My students and I want to thank you so much for your generous contributions. We will certainly put our new I-pads to good use. We are so excited to take education to the next level! Many of my students have never had the experience of using technology whether it be at home or in school. Besides the obvious (using an i-pad is fun!), I believe it is essential that students get practice using new technology. In a world where technology is constantly evolving and becoming an essential part of our lives, using i-pads will get my students excited for learning! The use of i-pads in my classroom is really bringing education to life! Interactive technology makes learning more engaged and more memorable; and we would not be able to experience this without all of you.
Thanks for the "apple" for my students!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Levy

Funded Sep 11, 2013Upon receiving the resources, my students were ecstatic. All children love gifts! At first, the students were unsure of what was in the box and what it would be used for because they are used to using headphones to listen to music. But once I demonstrated how the listening center resources are used, they were very excited. Having a new kind of technology made the students eager to participate in their reading activity.
In the classroom, our Listening Center is used everyday. Students can use them while we have sustained silent reading time or students can go to the Listening Center when they have completed all their work, and are waiting for the rest of the children to finish. It serves as both a motivator and a reward because students enjoy using the headphones to read along with the CDs.
This project boosted my teaching and my students' learning because it helps struggling readers and my students whose first language is not English. It allows my students to read along as they hear the book read to them and it helps them to improve their reading and listening skills. Overall, it has made reading more interactive and a lot more fun for my students.”
