  • Help Build Our Classroom Library

    Funded Oct 21, 2023

My students and I are so grateful for all of your support. Our classroom library has been greatly elevated by the books that we received from this project and your donations.

The storage bins have allowed me to organize the library for a students in a way that makes it easy for them to explore new titles.

The students especially love the Pete the Cat collection of books. He is a great character and kids love to read his stories over and over again. There are also several books that allow the students to see characters that look like them.

Thank you again for your generosity in helping us build our classroom library!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Fassler

  • Calming Area

    Funded Feb 2, 2023

Thank you so much for your generosity in helping us to enhance our calming area. Our sixth graders were happy to have it as a space for calming down, getting their thoughts together, or just chilling out from feeling overwhelmed.

We ended up adding the calming strips to everyone's desks so that they could have access to them all day long. Another favorite are the plants that add a bit of green to our day, as we don't have any green spaces near our school building. They're a soothing sight compared to the new building construction that is happening outside our window every day.

Students have been grateful to have these and all the other included items as options for them to go to when needed. Thank you for help in providing this safe space.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Fassler

  • Color Our World!

    Funded Jan 13, 2023

Thank you so much for your generosity in funding the "Color Our World" classroom project. The HP printer, paper, and ink have become an invaluable part of our setting.

Whether it's creating class signs, or printing out speeches for graduation, these have become tools that we regularly rely on to keep our classroom functioning.

Students who prefer to write essays by hand can still do so, but others love having the option to type out their work, and then print before turning it in.

We are very grateful for the opportunity to Color Our World and are thankful for your continued support of our class.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Fassler

  • Bring Toasters & Testers to Our Class Kitchen

    Funded Aug 13, 2019

We are continually grateful for the generosity that you have shown towards our classroom. The new supplies that we received will assist us with many future tastings, demonstrations, and recipes that we will be able to create in class.

We went for such a long time without the basic appliance, the toaster, that we can't wait to make some bread, just so we can toast it. The toaster bags should lead to some very interesting culinary flavor experiments.

We are so thankful that you chose our program to support.

    Your kindness is appreciated!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Fassler

  • Help Us Keep Clean and Safe for the New Year!

    Funded Aug 27, 2018

Thank you again for all of your generosity.

The cleaning materials that we've received have been a great help to our classes. We have a lot of dish soap to help us clean our equipment, as well as reusable rags that we use to wash dishes. These rags are better for us than sponges because we can throw them in the washing machine, using the new laundry detergent packs that were also donated.

The new surface cleaning spray that was donated has been useful for cleaning all of our food prep surfaces around the kitchen and is great for helping us avoid food-borne illnesses.

We're even ready for flu season and beyond with all of the boxes of tissue that were donated.

You're continued support of our classroom is greatly appreciated.”

  • Help Us Help Ourselves- Fundraising for Foods Class

    Funded Feb 8, 2018

Thank you all so much for your generosity! The Professional Baking class students were excited to have a new cart and supplies to supplement the baking setup that we have.

We have been able to increase our fundraising efforts due to the coffee cart and supplies that were gifted to us. The students are now more aware of choosing items to bake and sell that will go well with coffee, because they also want to learn more recipes. In addition, they have become better at sales, hospitality, and customer service as a result.

The students and I are very thankful to all of you for your continued support.”

  • Clean and Safe Essentials

    Funded Mar 22, 2017

Thank you so much to all of you for your continued generosity and giving spirit. Because of your donations, I am able to continue giving my students as much support as possible, even on a personal level when needed.

The students are always excited when they see a box or two being delivered to the class, because it is rare that we get new things. When they saw that this particular delivery held more personal items than what they are used to seeing, they were even more thrilled.

As I have a culinary arts class, there are often situations where a student will need to restrain their hair, so the hair ties are great for that. But those with long hair always know where they can come if they need a hair tie for any reason.

Unfortunately, there are also times when the students might hurt themselves, whether in or out of the classroom. They know that because of your donations, I can give them a bandage right away without having to hope that the nurse is available when they are unable to find one at home.

Being able to supplement the students' needs goes a long way towards helping achieve their goals. We appreciate your enduring support of our class!”

The students are always excited when they see a box or two being delivered to the class, because it is rare that we get new things. They were actually thrilled to see that this delivery held textbooks. It is great to have a guide through our course.

  • Finding Funds for Future Fashionistas

    Funded Jan 14, 2015

Thank you so much to all of you who supported this classroom project, Finding Funds for Future Fashionistas. The students and I were very grateful for your generosity, as it helped us to create great things this school year.

Although they were just beginners, the students were very motivated to learn how to sew and explore the world of fashion. They successfully put on a fashion show for their final project at the end of the school year. Being able to use the design worksheets and basic tools really help them meet their goals and have a very impressive show.

We are truly thankful for your support this year.”

    With gratitude,
