• Fashion Supplies for College Portfolio Preparation

• Fashion Illustration Markers

  Sorry for the late reply! The markers were a phenomenal tool for all of our students that were preparing for their portfolio pieces. Having professional grade markers makes a difference when it comes to the quality of the work they do which then allows for their self esteem to soar. They wanted me to let all of the generous donors know that they are deeply grateful as their families had one less things to worry about because these supplies were made possible to them from all of you.

• Phone Camera Holders for Fashion Students

  My students are so appreciative of this long overdue gift. Truth is that the first shipment was stolen from a break-in suffered over the summer yet Donors Choose replaced them for us. Today those students are seniors and they will definitely be using them to create their portfolios with the help of the camera holders. They have realized the importance of technology moving forward and are so thankful.

• Sewing Machine for Fashion Students

  The past year has been unbelievably challenging for our student's learning. The content we cover requires equipment that can be very expensive for many families and may not be seen as a priority. Every one of our over 300 sophomores must come in contact with a sewing machine and learn the skill of construction, although home machines may be inexpensive second-hand, they still can be expensive for some families.

  With your help and donation, we were able to award three students that soared academically and demonstrated extreme interest in obtaining a sewing machine.

  To have them pick it up and see their smiles and feelings of appreciation was one of our best moments this year.

  Thank you so VERY MUCH for your generosity. The gift you have given was more than camera holders, it was much-needed faith in human beings that care.

  Our students are mostly students that have different needs and priorities and what some may deem as necessary, is only an afterthought for them.

  Technology has been a serious tool that has gone from luxury to necessity in the blink of an eye and our students felt the necessity with our current times.

  The sewing kits that were donated and gifted to the students are allowing them to continue their learning in Fashion!

  Without these kits, they would've missed out on instrumental units of our curriculum and not enjoyed their development into becoming future fashion designers.

  We are preparing them with fabrics, lessons, and your kits for this year's fashion show and once we are complete, we will be posting it on our school website.

  Unfortunately, this pandemic has taken away so many things and with it, the ability to have the supplies for their major in our school.

  Your gift has given them the chance to stay optimistic and use their art as therapy and look forward to creating the garments they are designing in their sketchbooks.

• Professional Grade Markers for Fashion Students

  Thank you for your generosity. Our seniors were in great need of professional-grade markers to create their senior portfolios and audition for colleges that offer Fashion as their major.

  It is not simple nor inexpensive to obtain these tools and only through gifts such as yours were our students able to have them. They had the opportunity to use them and create beautiful portfolios that allowed them the chance to compete with other applicants in their field. While other schools, families may be able to provide, our students lack that ability yet with your gift, it was possible.

  We are now waiting on acceptance letters to make this journey complete!”

• Professional Paper for Fashion Students

  With these tools, our students are able to prepare professional grade portfolios. There is a big difference between regular paper and marker paper when it comes to illustration. Colleges look for quality through the materials chosen and because of you our students are able to deliver their creativity to the best of their ability.

  They will have one less burden to think about, as these materials are expensive and not a priority at this given time, yet for college, which is their future, they now have it.
