  • Awesome Outdoor Fun!

    Funded Jan 17, 2025

Thank you so much for your incredibly generous donations! My students are so lucky to have donors like you looking out for them. I can't wait to fill the recess cart with bubbles, chalk, and new jump ropes. They are going to be so excited to learn that they even get to take home these items to use this summer. They are going to be filled with excitement!

Thank you so much for helping my students love playing outside.”

  • Replacing Well-Loved Books

    Funded Dec 31, 2024

Thank you so very much for your incredible and generous donation to my classroom! My students love to read and many of the books in our classroom library have... seen better days, since they have been read so many times. This project will help me replace many of the well-loved books in our library. Thank you for helping my students have access to quality literature that will get them excited to read!

    Happy New Year!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Fallon

  • Pencils, Pencils, Pencils!

    Funded Sep 18, 2024

Thank you so much for helping keep my students supplied with fun pencils all year long. They love coming in to see a new themed pencil on their desk. There are always great discussions to see if they can figure out how many different types of pencils were given out. So far, we have used the Halloween, Thanksgiving, and construction themed pencils. When students return to school from winter break, they will start the year with one of the snowflake pencils. The rest will be passed out during new seasons, holidays, and when certain topics are covered in the curriculum.

While my students love being gifted with the small trinket, I love knowing that we will always have new pencils in circulation so we will never run out. We do a lot of writing in third grade, so pencils are an invaluable resource.

Thank you so much for your generous giving!

    Happy holidays!”

    Ms. Fallon

  • Warm Blankets for Wonderful Students

    Funded Nov 24, 2024

THANK YOU! All of my students were ecstatic to walk into the classroom to find a personalized blanket on their desk for Pajama Day. They loved wrapping themselves up in the warmth of their blanket for the day; one student even asked if he could stay wrapped in his when he went to the bathroom :)

As they were given out on the day before December break, we enjoyed some reading time by the virtual fireplace (projected on the whiteboard), while snuggled up in our blankets. My students absolutely loved their special gifts and were elated to find out that they got to take them home to keep.

I feel good to know that each of my students has an extra layer of warmth this winter, and I know they will feel loved every time they wrap themselves up in this special blanket.

Thank you for creating special memories for all of my wonderful third-graders!”

  • New School Supplies for a New School Year!

    Funded Jul 6, 2024

Thank you so much for helping to provide my classroom with supplies for the 2024- 2025 school year. Students use their glue sticks, pencils, and pencil sharpeners daily. The large sheets of chart paper help us make wonderful anchor charts for students to refer back to as we continue to learn important topics. The label stickers help us to easily identify which notebook, workbook, or folder belongs to which student and which folder stays in school and which one travels between school and home. The Kleenex have help us all to prevent the spreading of germs (which is very important in a small classroom!) and the stickers bring joy to everyone.

I truly appreciate your help in making our classroom a safe and welcoming environment for all. Thank you for supporting my wonderful students!”

  • Basic Supplies for Exceptional Students!

    Funded May 25, 2024

Thank you so much for donating these amazing school supplies to our classroom! It was great to start off the year with supplies to give all of my students. I cannot tell you how many students come to school with just an empty backpack (or no backpack at all). Being able to fill their desks with all of the supplies they will need for the year, with no pressure to buy or bring in supplies from home was incredible. Some supplies were passed out right away (like the folders, scissors, pencils, crayons, and notebooks) and others will be tucked away saved for when they are most needed.

Thank you for supporting my wonderful young learners. We are going to have such a great year together!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Fallon

  • Let's Glow!

    Funded Dec 31, 2023

There are not enough spaces for me to upload all of the pictures that show the excitement and joy that happens on Glow Day. The black lights, glow sticks, and black light reactive tape & streamers truly made our classroom glow and light up in an amazingly special way. I wish I could bottle up their reaction to seeing our room when they first entered. They knew that a special event was about to happen!

Every single student in my room had an amazing day with glow-in-the-dark centers that included ring toss, writing in highlighters, Jenga, and creating cup towers. Later in the day we used black light reactive paint to create some artwork, and we threw an epic end of the day dance party!

Thank you so much for helping give my students an amazing core memory for third grade! We couldn't have done it without your help!”

  • Adventures in Reading

    Funded Jan 14, 2024

Thank you so much for donating these brand new copies of the classic book "Molly's Pilgrim" to our third grade classroom. This story teaches a great lesson around immigration that many of my students can connect to on a personal level. They all loved the story and were able to draw many connections to other texts we read throughout the year. "Molly's Pilgrim" is a book that we will be able to use year after year, with every new group of students we teach.

Thank you so much for helping give my students access to wonderful literature!”

  • Snack Attack!

    Funded May 14, 2024

THANK YOU! So many of my students rely on having a snack provided for them, to get through our long academic day. Many of my students come from families that can't afford to provide snacks for them, so these snacks are essential to helping them not only for focussing on school work but to help them fit in with their peers who can afford these luxuries.

When this project was funded we had less than a day's worth of snacks in our snack bucket. My students were overjoyed with the news that more snacks were coming! So far, the favorite snacks have been the jello and pudding cups, but the different flavors of popcorn were close behind.

Thank you so much for not only filling bellies, but giving my students dignity!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Fallon

STEM projects are a wonderful way for getting students to think about how what they are learning in school will help them in the real world. For this STEM project, we are looking for materials that will help us in our study of weather. Students will determine ways to prevent flood waters from damaging property. What better way to discover the answers than through a hands-on STEM project?! Students will work in partners to design and build a method of preventing their "house" (small cardboard box) from being damaged by a given amount of flood water (measured by beakers). Students will use the materials below (cotton balls, clay, cups, straws, etc.) to construct their method of water damage prevention. Once we have tested our designs, we will go back and make improvements to our structures based on the results of our experiment, like any good scientist would! This project will not only help my students learn the content, but will also help them build a love for Science and STEM! Thank you for your support!
