  • Publish It!

    Funded Dec 20, 2024

Our students authors are growing in their communcation skills tremendously. We are utilizing the writing process to develop our thinking and understanding of the curricular content being learned. We have been celebrating our milestones as we publish our work. We print work to display on our bulletin boards and now beginning to publish our own self-authored poems, personal narratives, informational text, scientific understandings, class photographs, and more. Using our technology to publish our work has made a significant difference is student engagment and productivity .

Thank you so much for the Epson Ecotank Ink Refills, the invaluable cardstock, and the laminating pouches to continue our writing work.

This opportunity is giving our students inpiration, collaboration opportunities, and pride in their efforts to share their stories, their understandings, their ideas, and their self-published books.”

  • Produce, Print, and Present

    Funded Nov 9, 2023

Our Fourth Grade students put on a College Fair for our school as one of their community projects. They researched California colleges and worked to develop a Google Slide Deck presentation with information about community colleges, public and private universities, and specialization schools. They focused on academic options, school climate, school spirit, residence halls, clubs, tuition rates, and scholarships. They learned about what great opporunities and great times they will have when they are in college. Our students took their formal presentations and printed their colorful slides to place on a trifold board and make "take-aways" for their live audience.

They took this great opportunity to provide the entire school and community (famies and community guests) with inspiration and information about going to college.

Our students learned about how college will impact their own education, their opportunities, and their opportunities to contribute to our wonderful world. They were able to print all of this information in color and present it live to classrooms and during classroom presentations and during our college fair. The printer and paper provided by this Donor's Choose project helped us put together a great event for our school community while emphasizing the importance of academic progress and achievement for success.”

  • Updated Air Technology

    Funded Oct 28, 2023

Upgrading from our ten years old iPad to a current iPad has been incredible. We are able to run more current apps, utilize a better camera system, and allow a faster processor for project development. Our new iPad has increased engagement for integrating interactive literacy tasks that involve everything from reading, viewing, research, drafting, publishing, incorporating visuals, and even video projects. The iPad is also supporting our efforts to decrease our carbon footprint as we strive to go green where possible. Thank you for making this possible!”

  • Flexing Our Collaboration!

    Funded Apr 6, 2023

My students thrive when they learn together both in whole group and small group.

The portable whitboard easel has been instrumental in whole group discussion requiring anchor charts to be developed together so that all students have visual understanding of big concepts. The easel has been instrumental in allowing that to happen both in whole group and small group settings.

The amazing whole group carpet has added quite pizzaz and working space for our students to utilize. The garment rack holds our science lab coats, our college sweatshirts, and our special events clothing and theatre costumes. The utility card serves us well for art instruction.

Thank you for helping make our entire classroom an all-around amazing place to learn and work collaboratively.”

  • Double Dutch Math

    Funded Aug 8, 2022

Our Double Dutch Jumpropes have been a big hit with our students this year. The students have been so excited to learn new skills involving both physical education and mathematics. It definitley required new motor skills to manipulate the jumpropes as well and timing the jumping. The work with patterns and skip counting has been a really wonderful way to reinforce and practice skills needing repetetive practice and the development of automaticity.

Thank you for your generous contribution to our learning fun as we continue to double dutch our way to greatness!”
