  • Prizes to Motivate

    Funded Oct 26, 2021

Thank you for your support. You would be amazed at how motivating these rubber ducks have been. My students have been encouraged to study harder for their tests and quizzes just to earn a rubber duck. They must earn 100% on a test or quiz to get a duck. Thank you for your part in motivating them to do their best. Your dedication to West Virginia students is greatly appreciated. The impact your donation will have on my class is significant and has not gone unnoticed by parents, other teachers, and our administrators.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Young

  • Digital Upgrade

    Funded Dec 1, 2020

Thank you for your generous donation to my classroom project. My students were beyond excited to be able to have stylus pens to complete their digital work. During a tough year, little conveniences like stylus pens go a long way to boost student morale. The speaker for my classroom has allowed my students to view videos that relate to our topics of study. My first class of the day is able to watch CNN10 every day because we now have a speaker. Additionally, the cleaning supplies and tissues have relieved a huge burden of keeping my classroom as clean as possible. Your thoughtfulness is much appreciated.”

  • Supplies to Inspire a New Classroom

    Funded Aug 21, 2019

Thank for the classroom supplies to help with our map projects. With the map projects, my students have been able to visualize our lessons. Completing the maps on their own instead of just looking at a map in the textbook has helped them to store the information in their long term memory.

Additionally, my students have enjoyed reading through many of the West Virginia themed books when they finish their work early. Currently, I am reading some of the stories of West Virginia's Tourism aloud to them. My students and I appreciate your commitment education.”

  • Gifted Students Explore! Aqueducts, Worm Dissections, and Egg Drop Devices

    Funded Jan 6, 2019

Thank you so much for providing this wonderful educational opportunity for my students. They were elated to learn that our projects had been funded. We spent last week researching worm anatomy. Today, we dissected our worms We will start on our aqueduct project soon! Our year will culminate with the egg drop challenge. These projects would not have been possible without generous donors like you. I can't thank you enough for your contribution to our classroom. My goal is to inspire students to stretch themselves beyond what they normally do and these activities have been the perfect platform. Stayed for what comes next!”

    With gratitude,

These materials will enable my gifted students to actively engage in hands-on learning activities across all subjects. Three projects that I plan to implement with these materials are designing Roman aqueducts, worm dissections, and engineering egg drop devices which will be dropped from the ladder of a fire truck. Students will need the plastic tubing, glue guns, glue, colored pencils and sharpeners, dowel rods, tape, markers, to engineer the aqueducts. Straws, glue guns, glue, tape, markers, colored pencils will be used for the egg drops. In addition, I will also gather cardboard, bubble wrap, 2-liter bottles, etc. for both of these projects. For the worm dissection, the dissection kits and worms will be used. Not only will students have the opportunity to collaborate and use critical thinking skills, these projects will give them the freedom to take legitimate risks, try out new ideas, and be innovators in their own rights. Help us explore! Be part of igniting learning interests that will benefit my students for a lifetime.
