• Calming Technology on the Go

  The grant for our project has had an incredible impact on my special needs students. The addition of an iPad has provided them with an essential tool to help manage their emotions, stay focused, and enhance their learning experiences. Here's how the technology has made a difference:

  The iPad offered my students an accessible, user-friendly way to engage with calming tools and educational resources. When students come to class with personal or emotional challenges, the ability to quickly access relaxing music, guided breathing apps, or soothing visuals helps them regulate their emotions, enabling them to focus better on their training tasks. The portability of the iPads has been especially valuable during our daily community outings. Students can continue to use technology to de-stress or stay engaged with their goals even outside the classroom.

  They love being able to select their own calming tools or resources, like playing their favorite relaxing song or exploring mindfulness apps. For some, the ability to research topics of interest or explore calming stories has opened up new ways of learning and self-expression. The tactile, interactive nature of the technology also adds an element of fun and engagement, which motivates them to use it regularly.

  The iPad has proven to be more than just a piece of technology—they're tools for empowerment, emotional regulation, and personal growth. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, my students are thriving in new and meaningful ways.”

• Hydrate and Decorate: Empowering Students Through Creativity and Hydration

I worked really hard to help fellow co-workers open new accounts and thanks to that i was able to get this project funded with the help of MHFoundation for doubling donations. I feel extremely lucky. • Let's Stay Hydrated While Being Creative!

  I will like to express my sincere appreciation for your donation to assist me in getting water bottles and sublimation materials for my students. My students are special education students who train for half of their school day at out local supermarket Publix. Because I have 4 different schools coming to my Publix store for training, We designed and made our own water bottles so when they come for work training they can use their water bottle and save money from having to purchase water. They are also helping their environment.

  I am very grateful for your support to be able to get these materials. The students are extremely grateful.

  They were excited to receive their new water bottles and are so happy to be participating in this opportunity to receive work skills on the field.”

• Dress to Impress

  I will like to express my sincere appreciation for your donation to assist me in getting work shirts for my students. My students are special education students who train for half of their school day at out local supermarket Publix. Because I have 4 different schools coming to my Publix store for training, I had to come up with a color shirt to distinguish them from customers and other Publix staff. I chose the color purple because it's my favorite color. None of the students schools wear purple and it was better this way that they all have the same color. These students all come from low-socio economic status homes, therefore purchasing extra uniform shirts was going to be a burden on the parents since they had to buy regular shirts for school as well.

  I am very grateful for your support to be able to get these shirts, The students are extremely grateful.

• Wearing Our Creative Designs

  What an honor to receive another project funded. I want to say thank you to my supporters for always supporting my ideas. This project has helped my students to put the finishing touch in their in school business. They designed the logo for their cafe and we made shirts, mugs and easels to show their designs and now they have a cafe uniform. They are so happy and excited.

  We will also be making more designs to showcase art work created. Students with special needs have skills that often are left untouched, but give them a media to show off their talents, and they are going to surprise you. The best feeling for them is seeing their designs come to life.

We created bottles, tumblers and mugs for the people that help out with the job training of my students. We are thankful for their support always and appreciate all the help we get. This small token made a big influence, and they were very excited with the designs the students chose for them.
