  • Calm, Cooled and Cleaned!

    Funded Dec 17, 2023

My small room has been cooled down by the air purifier. The students and I appreciate the circulating air. It is like a breath of fresh air in here now. The floors are squeaky clean, and the room is airy and smelling fresh. The students are thriving, comfortable and happy.

Many of the students are working towards their reading fluency goals and working on building their stamina. In addition to that they are working on math fluency and drills. So, now the heat and stuffiness are one less obstacle they have to think about. It is no longer as stuffy and dry.

Thank you so much for the support and love.”

    With gratitude,

  • Activity Workbooks & Decodable Readers

    Funded Mar 25, 2024

We appreciate your generosity, kindness and empathy that gave you the opportunity to donate to our community service project. We appreciate it and this will impact many students! The students will know that someone is rooting for their success and supporting their needs to build literacy and their foundational skills.”

  • Snacks - Folders - Hydrate, Let’s Do This!

    Funded Dec 22, 2023

We celebrated and learned about Chinese New Year, also known as Lunar New Year using a supplemental resource called Scholastic News. All of the students were excited to learn more about the Chinese culture and the added little treat in the end made it even more special. They read their fortunes to each other and shared their thoughts about their messages.

We learned that Lunar New Year is a tradition and that families eat long noodles to have a long life and gift each other oranges for good luck! Also, families go shopping for new clothes and get hair cuts. In addition, the houses are swept clean. What is even cooler is that there are special "lion schools" where people train and go for months to perform in the parade.

The fruit snacks & additional cookies are used for the prize box and the mints are used throughout the day to keep our minds alert & going! We are to grateful and thankful for everything!”

  • Tactile Letters and Candy

    Funded Feb 8, 2023

We appreciate the dedication, love and support to our classroom. I am an interventionist and many of the students benefit from hands on interactive learning. The students manipulate words and sentences to build their foundational skills. This is a great addition to our classroom. It also helps to give away treats as incentives to keep that momentum going! I work with different groups of students from grade levels 3-5 so it is great to be able to have options for my prize box as well. Thank you so much for your generosity.”

  • Headphones & Zip !

    Funded Feb 9, 2023

We are excited and grateful to have these headphones that help the kids get into the zone! Sometimes they are given lesson drills in which listening is key and it is quite difficult to listen and hear the lesson when other students have their computers going at the same time. Also, the lessons are individualized, and every student is working on something different, so it is great to have the students use headphones to complete their work. It is also great to be able to work quietly with a small group of students while others work on their computers. The students were so excited when they saw the headphones!”

  • Rolling and Reading!

    Funded Sep 20, 2022

I was absolutely excited to get this rolling cart and bins. It has brought the organization of books to a whole other level. It is colorful, sturdy and allows me to level books by color and or by bins. I use this cart daily. I sometimes roll the cart into the classrooms in which I am servicing students for reading and or I can review which bins I need for the particular class period and take that book bin to go. I love the flexibility that I have to take materials as I need on the go and or be able to roll the cart to and from where I need it to be. I appreciate your kindness and generosity.

    Thank you.”

  • Reading and Math Literacy

    Funded Dec 1, 2021

When the students first saw the materials that arrived, they were super excited to everything that was donated to them. They were super excited to dig in and get started. The smiles on their faces were radiant.

The students love the matching letters and numbers activity in which they have to build the cvc words depicted by an image. The image also has letters linked to specific number and then they can solve simple addition equations, which is great for a reading and math connection. The multiple dice we use to do activities such as "roll and add", "roll and subtract" which allows them to practice their fluency in a fun way. The additional materials such as the phonics cards to help with sentence structure, sight words and parts of speech materials are utilized by the scholars for their independent writing time. The rolling cart helps keep the materials organized and also helps me be more mobile since I move from class to class. As you can see, your donations and kindness has impacted our literacy growth and motivation.

    Thank you so much!”

I am so extremely grateful and thankful for all of your generous contributions to my “cool and breezy” project. Our future breezy and cool classroom will help keep us focused when learning during the warmer months. One less obstacle for us to tackle during the 2022 school year and beyond.

  • Hear, Play and Sanitize

    Funded Feb 9, 2022

We are so thankful for your generosity in helping to fund our project. We used our resources multiple times a week. The materials made learning fun and also allowed us to sanitize materials being used so that everyone could have an opportunity to use them.

The sentence builders are being used in reading and writing stations to support scholars with sentence writing. The phonics and spelling builders allows scholars to build their vocabulary. The Lysol wipes were used to help disinfect items. The headphones were a great asset! It allowed the students to tune into their lessons on their chromebooks and really take advantage of their individualized lessons without distractions!

All of the students were super excited to get and use the materials when they arrived!”

  • Show and Tell, Developing Readers

    Funded May 8, 2020

Thank you for donating towards our classroom supplies. We received items such as sight word flash cards and rhyming word flashcards for our students who are learning how to read and develop fluency. We have also gotten high level scholastic test for third grade with comprehension questions to support those students on grade level.

The students were so excited when they saw all of the new supplies and materials that we received. Thanks again for all your support and generous donation and sorry for the delay of this thank you letter.”
