  • We Are Getting a Brand New School!

    Thank you very much for filling our new classroom with much needed materials and supplies. The new crayons were definitely a favorite among the children. Nothing makes a child happier than a new pack of their favorite colors. I personally and so excited about the new bins for my storage and laminating paper. Your kindness means so much to me and to my sweet students. Teaching in a Title One school can be very challenging but with donors like you, we are surely going to have a great year.   • Learning Materials for Little Hands

They love opening them up to see what surprises are inside! These materials have helped during this unprecedented year of learning we have had. My kindergarten students are always so eager to learn & the best way to teach the is to use "hands on" materials.   • Put Technology in the Hands of Little Learners!

    WOW! Let me start off by saying, we have had a few packages arrive at our door this year and I always let my students help me open them. But this time, was the most I have ever seen them excited. "Tablets for us?", they asked. I told them, "Yes, these are just for you and you will learn so much through playing games and listening to stories on your new tablets. The tablets are all very user friendly and are perfect for my second grade students. Thank you very much for helping our class meet our technology needs through this project. The best part is the portability and hands on touch screen for early learners. This generation does not know a world without cell phones, computers, tablets, and hands on technology. My students and their families are still recovering from Hurricane Harvey and so coming to school is sometimes the only place where they have a sense of 'normalcy' and a routine. Thank you for supporting our education and being a part of our learning community!”

  • We Love to Lean in Centers!

    I cannot even begin to tell you how wonderful this project has been in our classroom. The alphabet countdown is one of the most fun activities we do all year! 26 days of fun can weigh on parents & teacher's pocketbooks, so having the supplies needed to make this happen has been amazing. I love seeing the children improve their letter recognition and handwriting so quickly & these materials have made that possible this year!   • Hungry Kids Cannot Learn!

    Thank you so very much for funding this snack project. Having these snacks in my classroom ready for the first day of school will be such a blessing. My students love to learn but hungry children cannot. That's why these snacks are so very important to the success of my students. We use these snacks every afternoon since my Kindergarten students have lunch very early in the day!   • Books Are Good for the Soul!

    What greater gift is there than the gift of reading? Allowing children to hear stories that bring them into another place and time and giving them the gift of imagination is priceless! Thank you for giving just that! My students love these books so much! It has expanded our library TREMENDOUSLY! Most of the books we received were AR books, because of this a few of my students are up to 65 AR points this year! That is absolutely amazing for second graders! Your kindness is unmeasured and this teacher truly is so thankful for you!”

My class is composed of 22 adorable, creative children. I am so blessed to see their inquisitive little minds at work daily. Our classroom is full of energy & innovation. I hope to give each and every one of my students a loving, safe environment to learn! I teach Kindergarten at a Title I school in Texas, where we are still recovering for the devastating effects of Hurricane Harvey. These students lived through a rough year in their lives due to the Hurricane in 2017. However, my students are resilient & eager to learn. Many of these children lost everything in the storm, are still displaced, & unfortunately lacking basic necessities, but they show up every morning trying their best to smile. My students are survivors & they deserve the best.

About my class
