    Funded Nov 14, 2022

It is with great gratitude and appreciation that I submit this impact letter to you for your kindness and willingness to give, toward our class Math Glow Day!

Thank You so much, our students had a great time and was so grateful to get the supplies to have our Math Glow Day! We are going to continue to use our supplies for Math review days. With the supplies that were donated we have been able to broaden our horizons 6th grade Math concepts. It has been a positive influence that they have access to the supplies and the students are building and developing a great understanding and love for Math.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Guidry

  • Enhancing Learning Through Technology

    Funded Sep 24, 2019

Thank you so much for the chromebooks . We work on different math programs and do a science program that is all online. Students will be able to access all parts of the programs from the chromebooks on their own. This way they can go back and review at any time. We also do online projects through google classroom. The students will be able to access their account to work together with others to create their projects. In our class we are also building a STEAM component and use the chromebooks for the lego robotics program we have started. It is always wonderful to bring in new technology to enhance learning in the classroom. Thank you so much for helping bring our classroom up to date with new technology. " I appreciate everything."”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Guidry

This classroom project was brought to life by Young Sheldon on CBS and one other donor.
I currently teach 6th grade Math and Science at a Math, Science, Technology Magnet located in CA. I have over 160 students in four classes that range from the highly gifted to ESL students. My students are highly motivated learners and they desire to manipulate the latest technology to enhance the learning process. The way my students learn best is whenever we incorporate any form of technology within our lessons. They are independent learners, but have a passion working on group projects with their fellow peers. They learn best collaborating and researching to find the information themselves. Now with the Common Core National Standards being incorporated, we now have even a greater need for more technology in the classroom. This new technology will better prepare them for not only the new assessments approaching, but in the new way of learning the standards.
