My 2nd grade students are in a Dual Language class setting. They learn Math and English Reading/Language Arts in my class for half of the school day. They learn Science, Social Studies, and Spanish Reading/Language Arts for the other half of the day. My students are very hard workers. Many of them come from low-income homes. I often have to buy school supplies for my classroom. Our school office helps to supplement supplies, as well. Most students are very appreciative when they receive help, such as tutorials, materials for learning, or school supplies. They keep me humble and hopeful for our future.
