Funded Sep 21, 2019By giving my students to utilize an iPad in my classroom, it increases my ability to reach all students and provide them with opportunities that suite every student's learning needs no matter what their learning style might be. This iPad has given some of my student's to use this as an alternative to a paper and pencil worksheet. It also has been very helpful for those who may not have an opportunity to work with technology. This allows these students to be exposed and interact with other methods of instruction within all subjects.
My students were very excited to hear that we received an iPad through Donors Choose. We use the iPad at least once every sing day. I have been able to download many apps like BrainySkills, amongst others. The student's eyes light up when I tell them they get to do an assignment or play an educational game that focuses on the skill of the week.
My reading students always react with great joy when I tell them they are going to get on the iPad for the next assignment. My students who have been diagnosed with ADHD love working on the iPad. This iPad helps those students focus on their learning, which is sometimes difficult to keep them engaged. My reading students also spark enthusiasm when I pull out the iPads. This iPad allows me to change up my method of presenting instruction.”
With gratitude,
