  • Cheering for Chapter Books!

    Funded Mar 14, 2013

Thank you so much for your generous donation! The chapter books that you helped to donate to our classroom have been such a wonderful addition. The kids were so very excited to open up the box when it arrived and see the new books that we received.

The books helped keep my students motivated to read independently during our reading workshop time. My higher students who need more of a challenge were able to read books at their appropriate level.

Thanks to your donations, my students have developed a life-long love of reading. I am so grateful!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Morrison

  • More Math Manipulatives, Please!

    Funded Nov 26, 2012

I would like to thank you for donating these math manipulatives to our classroom. I can't tell you how grateful I am for these added resources in our classroom. My students were so excited when they arrived and couldn't wait to start using them.

The dice-in-dice and coin stamps have been major hits with my students! They beg to be able to use these things and have so much fun learning about math with them. The graphing paper is a huge help to me when teaching my students about the different types of graphs. Before, I had blank paper which was hard to create bar graphs, line plots, etc. Now I can accurately model how to create a graph using this paper. The counters have also helped tremendously while doing "rich math problems" with my students. The counters help them to problem solve these challenging story problems in a concrete way.

Thank you again for your generous donation to our classroom. These learning materials have greatly benefited my students and teaching!”

  • Letters Here, Letters There, Magnetic Letters Everywhere!

    Funded Apr 24, 2012

Thank you so much for your generous donation to our classroom. The magnetic letters and whiteboards that you donated have helped my students tremendously in our guided reading, word study, and center time. My students are so motivated to learn about words and letters because of these new resources.

Our school district is facing some difficult financial times, so without your help, my students never would had these important resources. For second grade students, understanding how words work helps them to become more successful readers and writers.

Thank you so much for helping my students achieve success! I greatly appreciate your generosity!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Morrison

  • Listen Up, Readers!

    Funded Mar 29, 2012

Thank you so much for your generous donations to our classroom project. When the books were delivered to our classroom, we were all so excited! I unwrapped one set of books at a time while the kids clapped and cheered. It felt like Christmas! The listening center books that you donated have been enjoyed by my students every single day.

Listening to meaningful stories on CD is so important for my second grade students. They learn how to read with expression in their voices and also learn to love many kinds of books. Thank you so much for your support of literacy in my classroom. It means a lot!”

    With gratitude,

  • A Carpet for Our Crowded Classroom

    Funded Oct 25, 2011

Thank you so much for your donations to our classroom project! The new carpet has been a wonderful addition to our classroom. When it was delivered to our room, you would have thought it was Christmas! The kids couldn't wait to see it. We unwrapped and unrolled it together and then everyone had to try it out by sitting on their own spot. They were thrilled and so was I!

This carpet has helped tremendously with classroom management and transition time. The kids are able to find their spot quickly and I can start instruction right away. Having a class size of 28 students can be challenging at times, but this carpet is such a huge help with getting everyone situated and ready to learn quickly.

I can't thank you enough for your generous donations to our classroom. We all greatly appreciate it!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Morrison

  • We Are Mighty, Mighty Mathematicians!

    Funded Dec 6, 2011

Thank you so much for your generous donations to our classroom project. The math games arrived last week and the kids have been having so much fun with them! They could hardly wait to open the boxes and get started playing. After I explained and modeled each game, the kids finally were able to start playing them. These games have been a wonderful addition to our classroom. They are fun, educational, and help to review the skills that we've been learning about in second grade. The kids are now motivated to finish their work early so they have extra time to play a math game. Work completion has improved greatly since receiving these games. Their understanding of the math concepts within the games has also increased.

Again, thank you so much for your thoughtfulness. We appreciate your support of education in our classroom. We wouldn't be able to have all of these resources without your help!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Morrison

  • Help Us Preserve Our Work!

    Funded Oct 3, 2011

thatThis is just a small token of my gratitude for your generous donation to my classroom. The laminator a and laminating sheets that you donated have increased my students' motivation to write. Now that they know their work will be laminated and preserved for a long time, they are doing their very best work in writing workshop. We have laminated certain stories from writing workshop along with class books that they've made in phonics (such as "Our Book of Homographs"). The kids love to read these books over and over and the lamination helps to keep them in good shape.

Again, thank you so much for your donation to help my students. Without donors like you, many classrooms would go without resources and materials that help to improve students' education.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Morrison

  • Learning, Listening, and Loving How to Read!

    Funded Mar 27, 2011

This is just a small token of my gratitude for your generous donation to my classroom. The listening center and reading pillows that you donated have helped my students every single day. The listening center has helped them become more fluent, expressive readers and develop a love for stories! The reading pillows have also made reading more enjoyable and exciting. The kids look forward to reading workshop every day now!

Our school district is currently facing a budget shortfall, so without your help, my students would never had have these vital resources. It is so important for developing readers in second grade to enjoy reading books independently and listening to them being read aloud.

Without donors like you, thousands of students and classrooms would go without. Thank you again for your thoughtful donation to our class project!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Morrison

There are 26 eager, wonderful children in my third grade classroom. Some of these children have special needs and all of them deserve the best I can give them. I would like to fill my room with learning opportunities and activities that would not only help my students grow and develop but also to make learning as fun as possible. My goal is to have a classroom the children love to be in, a place they can't wait to come back to, and one that they will always remember fondly. With your help, my classroom can become the one that I envision for my students. Thanks for making a difference in my third graders' academic success!
