Everyday Classroom Supplies
Funded Mar 28, 2023Thank you so much for your generous donations. Your thoughtfulness and kindness, allowed me to create the materials for my students to learn with the colored cardstock, laminating sheets, magnetic tape, and velcro dots.. I was able to create the pieces for our interactive anchor charts, file folders, task boxes and stories.
Thank you for the stamps and ink pads. My students loved pushing their little fingers on the ink pads, and seeing their fingerprints show up on the paper to color Easter eggs, and trace letters.
Thank you for the play food. My students loved having pretend birthday parties, and identifying fruits, vegetables and colors. They practiced social skills such as back and forth play, sharing, taking turns, and using their imaginations.”

Funded Dec 29, 2022We have been enjoying our new group work table. We love to come together to do our sensory recipes at the table, play with table top toys, puzzles, and activities. We have been using the table to practice writing our letter of the day, during our morning meeting, and to complete projects.
We also have been doing a ton of pretend play with all of our new fake food. We have been role playing birthday parties, grocery shopping, making dinner, and drive through. We have used the food to talk about colors and to identify fruits and vegetables.
We had a blast using the stamps to make Easter eggs With our finger prints. We practiced counting by using the stamps to make number blocks. Thank you for all of your support and kindness.”

Funded Sep 15, 2022My students were so excited to help open the boxes, and pull out the new materials. They absolutely love the big, blue, soft cuddle balls. They love to stick their arms through the different holes, and give them big hugs. They also like to wear them like back packs and walk around the room. These cuddle balls are not only fun, but also help to meet their sensory needs or getting hugs, or tight squeezes, and hitting themselves or others, which allows them to better learn during instructional time.
My students also enjoy playing with the letter magnetic tiles on the light table, spelling their names, or our sight words for the week. They also like to build with them, and find surfaces in the classroom that are magnetic.
Lastly, as you can probably imagine, they love to paint, and the color-coded no spill cups and brushes, help the kids to not mix the colors, while also learning to match colors.
Thanks you so much for thinking of us, and donating to this project.”

Funded Sep 12, 2022I have never seen my student as excited or as happy as I did when they first their new ball pit. After completing their work they look forward to go to the sensory room. They love to jump in it, feel the balls around them, pretend they are making snow angels, and pretending like they are swimming.
They also love the butterfly chairs. They like to stack them, roll on them, and stand on them to look out the windows. They like that when they sit they are soft, kind of squishy, and allow them to bounce just a little.
They also love watching the fake aquarium. It is soothing, and helps to calm them down, allowing them to then focus on their work.
Thank you again for choosing this project to support.”

Funded Jun 20, 2022Thank you so much for your kind donations. My students have loved being able to engage in social emotional learning activities by learning to be gentle, and have nice hands with the baby dolls, as well as practicing self-help and fine motor skills through dressing the dolls.
My students love when they get to use the dry erase boards, especially during our morning meeting. They practice forming the letter of the week, and drawing how they feel (practicing drawing different emoji faces).
They won't get to use the mom and baby toy animals until our next unit, but they have found them, and are already excited to use them.
Their favorite thing overall, would probably be the paint. They love getting to use different materials to paint, and choose from a variety of colors to use. Thank you for providing these learning tools and opportunities for my students.”

Funded Apr 8, 2022Your kind donations have allowed me to purchase and create the materials for the Made for Me Literacy curriculum, for my K-2 cluster students. This year, I have mostly Kindergarten students and I was able to purchase their newest bundle on Teacherspayteachers, at Level A, providing my students with materials in multiple levels that meet all of their needs.
My students love the stories that go with each unit, creating the anchor charts and predictable poems together, and working on file folder and task box activities. They love the cut and paste worksheets, the colorful crafts, and especially the sensory recipes.
Thanks again for supporting my students, and helping me to give them engaging lessons.”

Funded Feb 9, 2022Thank you so much for donating to this project. My students loved the Community Helpers Figures. They had a blast playing pretend with the toys. My students picked their favorites and loved matching the figures to the different pages in our community helpers books.
My students were able to work on their fine motor skills putting the pieces in the Mr. Potato heads, while also learning parts of the face and body. The toys helped my students to engage in the lessons, and gave them concrete examples to help them better understand the words they were learning.
Thanks again for supporting this project.”

Funded Feb 7, 2022Thank you so much for donating to this project. Your generous donation helped me to get the books and supplies needed to to prepare the lessons and activities for my units. My students were able to engage in the activities thanks to the computer ink, cardstock, laminating sheets and magnetic tape.
One of my students even started using words with purpose pointing to pictures and words thanks to how excited he was about the weather vocabulary anchor chart that I was able to make. He grabbed any adult's hand that came in the room, and brought them to the chart, or pulled one of the cards off the anchor chart to bring them to the adult.
My students loved tearing the paper strips to make rainbows and lily pads. The colorful cardstock helped some of my students master their colors, and helped engage other students with practicing fine motor skills tearing, cutting and gluing.
Thanks again for supporting my classroom.”

Funded Jan 9, 2022Thank you so much for donating to this project. With these supplies I was able to create the resources that go along with our literacy units. Most of my students are still learning basic skills, such as recognizing their name in print, matching identical pictures, numbers, letters, etc. Without your support all of the supplies needed to make these resources come out of my pocket, or they don't get made. I was able to make several file folder and task box activities for the students to practice the skills from the unit, and the individualized skills that they are working on. I was able to print the materials in color, which is essential when you are teaching students to sort or match things by color, or you are color coding the letters of their name so they can match the letters in the correct order.
My students love the magnetic puzzles, and trying to move the little magnetic balls around the puzzle board. These puzzles help the students with problem solving skills, especially when they have to move from the magnetic ball to the little spinner or lever to move it so the ball can get through. These puzzles are awesome because with traditional puzzles the students chew on the pieces ruining the puzzle, or lose the pieces, also ruining the puzzle. With the magnetic puzzles everything the student needs is in one little box, and none of the pieces can get lost.
My students have sound sensory issues, and the headphones help the students to participate in class, when some of the other students are being loud. Just having the headphones in their desks helps ease some of their anxiety, just knowing that they are there if they need them.
We have also loved using our stepping stones in our sensory room. We have set up obstacle courses to practice following more than one directions at a time, and to practice balance and problem solving skills, as well as taking turns.”
