They have different levels of English language proficiency; some speak no English at all. They speak a wide range of languages such as Spanish, Amharic, French, Tamil, German, Mandarin, Yoruba, Russian, and Khmer. In my class, we respect and embrace our differences and build a loving and caring community of learners.
