Learning Financial Literacy and Math Through Peers and Play
Funded Oct 4, 2019These resources have been such a useful resource in our classroom. The students have been learning though experiences and have been exposed to what is needed to be successful in financial literacy. They have such a benefit and jumpstart in life.
With these resources, my students have been exposed to play-based learning that have been incorporated to teach them financial literacy lessons that have been helping them math facts that are essential and skills that will serve them through adulthood.
As a teacher, I not only want my students to be able to learn the academic requirements for the grade but skills that will be valuable to them as adults and as members of society after school is over. I hope that you know that this is such a positive impact and that they are learning immensely while having fun and looking forward to these lessons everyday.”

Funded Oct 15, 2019First, I would like to thank you once again for making a difference in my classroom. The addition of tables has made our classroom a collaborative environment in which my students feel that they can engage with their peers to further their learning.
Having these tables that encourage flexible seating and students working together in groups will have been helping me in facilitating learning in a warm and welcoming environment where students will be able to engage with their peers and have the option to pick which table best suits their needs. Having this choice has helped my students become more engaged and have a voice in the classroom.
The students feel comfortable where they come to each day and love having a chance to speak up about how they would like to learn that day. Thanks again for making these tables possible and making a difference in my classroom.”

Play a Little, Learn a Lot
Funded Aug 16, 2019My students have absolutely loved having all of the new resources in our classroom. They are completely engaged and enthralled when it is time to use them and they get to connect with one another through play.
I have already seen the immense impact it has had in my classroom and I look forward to seeing the student's progress in oral language, social development, emotional learning, and more.
Please know that your generosity is really making a difference in my classroom teaching, the student's lives, and making an impact in how I approach teaching. Without your help in my classroom, this would not have been possible and I appreciate how you are helping the generation to come. Thanks again.”

Funded Aug 16, 2019My students have been delighted with the seat sacks. We have a place for our items in our flexible seating arrangement. They have a space where their personal and academic items go. They feel a sense of responsibility and ownership.
Our students came into the classroom and their eyes lit up to see their sacks over their chairs with their names on them. They immediately filled them with items they felt were important to our classroom learning.
Our next steps include more flexible arrangements and this includes using the seat sacks to move easily throughout the classroom. Thank you again for your immense contribution.”

It's Time for Time Magazines for Kids
Funded Jun 20, 2019We have had a lack of social studies curriculum for quite some time now. To find resources that were appropriate for such young minds has been difficult. Now because of this magazine subscription, we have a chance to discuss developmentally appropriate and current social studies subjects in our classroom.
It has been wonderful to see everyone in our classroom participate in discussions regarding current issues in our society today and to see the wheels turning as they decide how they feel and what their opinions are on certain subjects.
Thank you so much for allowing this opportunity to occur in our classroom!”

Funded Jun 30, 2019My class has LOVED using our new Stem items. We have used them over and over again. They have loved using them for science, math, and even as story starter items. Their creativity has blossomed, they have learned to work in groups and their dialogue with one another has increased substantially.
This has been such an awesome addition to our classroom, the kids are so eager for their turn to use the stem items and get to work together to create amazing new objects. I love the chance to see what they are capable of and the new ways we have of learning in our classroom.
Thank you once again, you continue to make a difference in students lives.”

Funded Jun 10, 2019Our Active Board has been quite a transformative feature in our classroom. This has given us the capability to not only project content onto the screen but also use a touch screen to interact with the material.
The students have been able to use the board to answer the questions for the content and display their work, they have loved coming up to the Active Board and becoming teachers in their own manner. They have also liked having a way to show everyone their work that they are sharing and to show what they are working on with the classroom ipads.
We have three high needs students as well who have thrived with the active board, they are able to click on the flipcharts and make projects with the other students in our class and it has been amazing to see what they can do with the technology.
Thank you once again for making this Active Board happen in our classroom so we can have a great new way to work with our content.”

Funded Feb 15, 2018This has been such an amazing opportunity for these students. We were able to put on a class musical for the entire school and members of the community. The students performed several times and grew their confidence each time they went on stage. They were excited, nervous, and proud every time they went on stage.
When the students first received the scripts and new microphones they commented on how they were now professionals and capable of putting on an amazing performance. These resources made them feel more prepared and they were eager to get started on the work.
Our next steps include making this a yearly tradition for our classroom. There were students who struggle academically that shined on stage and were able to find something they were confident in and looked forward to coming to school each day to get to practice. This is something I would like to continue to make happen in my classroom and can't wait to expose more students to this opportunity. Thanks once again for making this possible!”
