  • A Gathering Space for All Students!

    Funded Feb 8, 2023

We are loving our new classroom rug. It has been such an amazing addition to our classroom. From day one, my students were so excited to find a spot for themselves on the rug. We have been using the rug to create stuff on, for stem, reading, sharing stories with one another, and just to sit and learn in a small and whole group.

The bright and light colors have made our classroom a more warm and inviting place to be. It is the first thing you see when you walk into through the door. It is a great meeting place to share our learning and be next to our classmates.

Thanks again for your generosity and love of our students!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Putnam

  • Click Print and Enjoy Your Work!

    Funded Dec 20, 2022

From the moment the office brought down our box, our students knew exactly what the printer was for. They started to discuss with one another the types of writing, certificates of achievement, and other projects that they wanted to see come to life. Most could not wait until it was set up to get their ipads and chrome books and get ready to type up a story to print and read to one another. They have loved being able to physically hold something that they virtually created and share them with one another. This is such a generous donation and we can't wait to continue to create and publish. Thanks again!”

    Mrs. Putnam

  • Readers on an Adventure!

    Funded Nov 29, 2022

Our students have loved every single book we have received, I have had every student find one book they love. Their engagement in reading has been amazing this year. They look forward to our reading lessons and beg for more reading time. They love to especially read with partners and discuss what is happening in their stories with one another.

They love having access to books which is increasing little by little thanks to great donors like you. This is helping with their book choice and finding the types of books they enjoy reading.

Thank you once again for making this possible and for making my classroom a place where students really do grow their love and skills in reading.”

  • Reading Is Exactly What We Need!

    Funded Nov 28, 2022

Thank you so much for your generous donation to our classroom. Reading at this age is crucial to their development and sets a strong foundation for what their academic growth and career will look like. Having the resources you have provided gave our classroom a chance to grow and love reading that we otherwise would have struggled to provide. Books and literature are something that students enjoy every day. They love to read to themselves, and their peers, be read to, and the list goes on and on. Having books that they can relate to is something that makes reading even more special, and we are thankful that we have that because of you. Thanks again!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Putnam

  • Play a Little, and Learn a Lot!

    Funded Dec 8, 2022

Thank you once again for supporting our classroom. My students could not contain their excitement when they saw the new boxes of items for our classroom stem and choose time. They asked throughout the day if it was time to use the legos. When they finally enjoyed them, it was so fun to watch them interact with the items and one another. They are learning to work together while exercising their creativity, science, and math skills. These items are so fun and will bring lots of great opportunities for learning in my classroom. Thank you for providing this for my students.”

  • Basics for Beginning!

    Funded Oct 26, 2022

Thank you so much for our fantastic resources to start the year. We have everything from pouches for the students to keep their items in, to essential resources in our classroom like paper plates for art and science projects. It has been so wonderful to have things my students can use every day. It allows us to have something available for everyone without someone feeling like they have to compare with other students or do not have the means from home to have these items available to them. My students were elated when they saw the boxes come in and helped unpack and put labels on all of our new classroom resources. Thanks again for these opportunities and for being able to provide for my students. We appreciate you more than you will know.”

  • Science for Succesful Learning!

    Funded Aug 9, 2022

Thank you so much for your awesome donation to our science curriculum. We have been using all of the materials and cannot wait to continue to learn more while using what you have provided.

So far we have used the cups to learn about states of matter and bases and acids. We have made rockets that we have shot outside, learned about our bodies, and will continue to learn and grow even more.

It has been awesome to provide these opportunities to my students and I feel their excitement when I pull out a resources and they know there is a hands on science experiment that day.

Thank you once again for your donation and allowing us to have these great lessons.”

  • Decoding and the Basics of Reading!

    Funded Feb 9, 2022

We have used the gift cards to purchase printable decodable books. I can print as many books as I need which is great since many books get lost and torn apart over time. The books purchased are engaging and most of all very helpful in the building of their reading skills. They help students practice skills that I am teaching and reinforce what is being taught in the classroom. The students love reading them and reading them with friends.

Since the decodable books were purchased online, I can also print out as many as needed to send home and have them practice for homework. The students love to read them to their parents and show off what they have learned at school. Thanks again for the wonderful resources and for making it possible to have the students read these books daily.”

Students will be given the opportunity to express themselves through art, music, acting, and team building. Through the practice of working together as a class to put on a production, these students will incorporate what they are learning in the traditional classroom to work together to put on a musical. This project will help students use team building strategies to problem solve, use creative thinking, and engage in new roles that will result in an end product that will build confidence in working towards a result they can feel proud of. By working towards putting together a class play, the students will be able to use many of the standards we are learning in our curriculum, such as reading (to go through the script), social studies (to discuss what the costumes, props and backgrounds, should look like), math (to be used in the calculations of building props), art (once again will be used in the decor), communication, and speaking and listening skills. This will be a great culminating project the students can look forward to throughout the year. Microphones and multiple plays will allow these students to have the confidence to perform these musical plays in front of many audiences. We hope to not only perform these in front of parents and our school but also to invite different organizations in the community. This opportunity will also provides students with new outlets to express themselves and will help students feel successful in different modalities than are explored in the regular classroom. The speakers requested will allow us to have more than one student heard at a time, and the different musicals requested will allow this to be an activity that can used throughout the years.
