Maker Space For Learning and Fun!
Help me give my students maker space items such as Lego figures, dry-erase boards to record their science findings, various small play items to keep in their bins, and breakout EDU kits which will complete our STEM items.
Thank you so much for these awesome stools that have provided all of the students in my classroom the opportunity to have flexible seating. These stools are awesome because they are not only wiggly but also can be not moveable when needed. They can move easily from place to place and can be stored quickly as well.
The students love knowing they have a tool they can use that helps them when they feel like they need to incorporate more movement while they work or listen. When we first opened the packages the students were curious as to how they worked since they did not look like traditional seating but quickly adapted and now love it when it is their turn to use them.
My students were overjoyed when we opened the resources from this project. We have been making items for our classroom nonstop, everything from art projects to additions to our chosen time center, to basics for our work.
We have loved learning how to use the machine and discovering more and more of what it does every time we use it. It has been a little of a learning curve at the beginning but we now seem to get a hang of it. We look forward to coming together to plan more classroom projects with which we can use this wonderful resource.
Thanks once again!”

Our students have loved every single book we have received, I have had every student find one book they love. Their engagement in reading has been amazing this year. They look forward to our reading lessons and beg for more reading time. They love to especially read with partners and discuss what is happening in their stories with one another.
They love having access to books which is increasing little by little thanks to great donors like you. This is helping with their book choice and finding the types of books they enjoy reading.
Thank you once again for making this possible and for making my classroom a place where students really do grow their love and skills in reading.”

Thank you so much for the wonderful frames that will display our art work. Our school is currently remodeling a few things and we are still looking for the best place to display them. We are waiting on a new wall to be put in so that we can hang them once and for all. In the meantime, the students use them individually to place all of their art items and love having a safe spot where everything they create can be kept safe and looks amazing. They love opening the frames and going through all of their hard work is kept and sharing it with their neighbors and others who come to visit our classroom. It is very much a prized possession. Thanks again!”
Students will be given the opportunity to express themselves through art, music, acting, and team building. Through the practice of working together as a class to put on a production, these students will incorporate what they are learning in the traditional classroom to work together to put on a musical.
This project will help students use team building strategies to problem solve, use creative thinking, and engage in new roles that will result in an end product that will build confidence in working towards a result they can feel proud of.
By working towards putting together a class play, the students will be able to use many of the standards we are learning in our curriculum, such as reading (to go through the script), social studies (to discuss what the costumes, props and backgrounds, should look like), math (to be used in the calculations of building props), art (once again will be used in the decor), communication, and speaking and listening skills. This will be a great culminating project the students can look forward to throughout the year.
Microphones and multiple plays will allow these students to have the confidence to perform these musical plays in front of many audiences. We hope to not only perform these in front of parents and our school but also to invite different organizations in the community.
This opportunity will also provides students with new outlets to express themselves and will help students feel successful in different modalities than are explored in the regular classroom.
The speakers requested will allow us to have more than one student heard at a time, and the different musicals requested will allow this to be an activity that can used throughout the years.
