  • Group Work That Everyone can see!

    Funded Sep 13, 2019

You are truly amazing! We are so very excited to have these additions to our STEAM lab! I can’t wait to show you pictures of how state-of-the-art it looks! The students are in awe as they walk in! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Blais

  • LARGE Monitors (TVs) for Group Work

    Funded Aug 1, 2019

I am yet again at a loss for words. I appreciate your kindness and continued support! Our students have recently had a lab makeover going from one to one computers down to 8 computer stations to allow them to work collaboratively. Using the tiny computer screens was tough, as they couldn’t all see their work. I can’t wait for them to see the new additions!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!”

  • Hands-On Techsperts!

    Funded Jan 18, 2019

Thank you so much for your generosity. The students have had a blast using these Lego WeDo 2.0 kits to build, program, and learn with! The kits have been incorporated into the students science/technology block, and so far have been used by grade three, grade four, and grade five!

When the students first saw the kits come in the mail, they were SO excited and intrigued. To utilize the kits, the students use iPads with the Legos to read a story, and help solve a problem to build a solution.

We have a student who is non-verbal. When he and his group first programmed they're robot to move, he literally danced with joy every time it moved. It brought tears to my eyes, as this is the first (and only) time I have seen him express himself! Thank you for this amazing experience!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Blais

  • Robotic Techsperts!

    Funded Sep 1, 2018

Thank you so much for the Dash and Dot robot Wonder Pack. The students are SO excited to use it and have been so engaged with the new opportunities that it has brought to our classroom. We have absolutely enjoyed having the large classroom rug! We have been able to use it during almost every class. It has given the students more choice in how and where they want to sit while they learn. They love to have the freedom to choose whether a typical classroom chair is best for them or if sitting on the rug would benefit them. Thank you again for your generosity.”

    With gratitude,

  • Wiggling Techsperts!

    Funded Aug 23, 2018

I have no words to express how grateful I am and how excited the kids are to be on these wiggle stools. I hear, "I don't want to stop wiggling, can I have another book." so many times a day. It truly is heartwarming to see how something that seems so unnecessary to an adult effects the life of a child so greatly . These students are so engaged in what we are learning together, they don't even realize they're exercising their core and burning off energy that they would typically have to wait for recess to do. These wiggle stools have not only helped the engagement in small group science lessons, but help students on the carpet with personal space and attention span issues when there's a lesson plan on the interactive white board.”

  • Techsperts of All Sizes!

    Funded Aug 21, 2018

I find myself again, completely overwhelmed with the support myself and my students have received from you. The students still come into the lab everyday (weeks after they first saw the new seats) and comment on how comfortable the adjustable chairs are and how helpful it is to have a chair that's the right size. I have seen a drastic difference in the posture of the students when they sit down, there's less students kneeling on chairs to make up for low chairs, or standing to reach the computer parts, etc. . We plan to utilize the new seating in the classroom to increase small group and pair work activities. We thank you so, so very much! We are so grateful for your generosity and for you giving us a chance to work to our potential!”

  • Our Computers Need Computer Tables!

    Funded Aug 11, 2017

I cannot express how grateful I am for your donations. When the HUGE boxes came into the building through mail, the students immediately knew what they were! We were so excited for them to sit at their new seats without the many wires on the table! One student in third grade sat down and said, "I feel so professional!". It was adorable!

Our computer lab now FEELS like a computer lab, thanks to your generosity. We were also able to give the old tables to classrooms in our building that needed them, so your act of kindness was one that kept on giving! We at Stefanik are so thankful for your investment in our students. Thank you, thank you, thank you!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Blais

  • Help our Stars get Mice!

    Funded Apr 5, 2015

Thank you so much for your generosity. The students have been so excited to use the Chomebooks and the mice that we have received because of you has made using them even more accessible. The mice have allowed the students to seamlessly adjust to this new technology. These students work so hard to keep up with the ever growing demands in todays educational system. When people like you lend a hand and show them that their hard work pays off and people do care about their education, it really makes a difference. Again, thank you.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Blais

  • Please Help Ms. Blais' Shining Stars!

    Funded Mar 10, 2015

I don't know how to thank all of the donors who helped my Shining Stars. You are all truly wonderful. The students have been so excited to use the new technology. When the big box full of Chromebooks came in, they were at a loss for words. The only thing you could hear in the room was, "WOAH COOL!" as they unpacked the boxes. I was able to accept ten more students into the Code Club, squeezing students in between each other with Chromebook between laptops. They absolutely love being able to use the touch-pad instead of a mouse. Since we have had the Chromebooks, many students have been so engaged, they have competed courses and earned certificates of achievement from the code.org organization! I am so excited to see the students so interested in learning computer science and believing that they can do it!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Blais

Our Stefanik Stars absorb the curriculum like sponges and almost never back down from a challenge. We are a culturally diverse school with a 100% free lunch rate. Our students come from many different situations and fight through hardships such as low family income, homelessness, foster care, loving families, and more. Each of these Stefanik Stars deserve the very best education. Everyday I am blown away by these students and I envy their strength. They are so eager to learn, and come in I know this because of the energy and enthusiasm they present about learning Science & Technology despite hardships at home.
