  • Reflections, a Center for Lights and Shadow Play

    Funded Sep 23, 2016

Thank you so much for the generous donations you have all made to complete this project. It has brought joy, imagination and creativity to the room. It has enhanced the imaginations of the children, and allows them to use light and other reflective resources to intertwine into their structures and play. The center is filled with toys that can be utilized throughout the classroom as well.

Thank you again, for gifting us these whimsical and fun toys and tools that will enhance the play in our classroom, for years to come.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Ljungkvist

  • Imagination Listening Center

    Funded Mar 7, 2016

    Dear donors,

Our new listening center is up and running and has become an educational and exciting center in our classroom. The class utilizes it on a daily basis, not only to listen to stories on CD's, but to come together as a community, to play, draw and solialize together. I placed it in a corner of the room that is calm, so the children have a desinated area to go, when they need to relax and take a break.

Thank you everyone for all your generosity and support for our new listening center.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Ljungkvist

I work in a public preschool, that consists of 20 classrooms. Every student in the school was born in 2011. It is a preschool wonderland, filled with children from many different backgrounds and needs. I have a wonderful class, that absolutely loves attending school. They enter the class every day, eager to work, learn and play. They love reading stories and talking about them. I use many books to help facilitate topics of study and art projects. Laying down for rest time, can be a little challenging this time of year, the class is getting older, therefor the need to sleep, midday, is less necessary. During rest time, the children have been asking to listen to Audio books. They love them, and it helps with the transition from an noisy lunch activity, to a quite, rest activity. Unfortunately, We are a new school and do not have many Audio books yet. We are hoping to have many more books to listen to after this is done, so the class does not have to always listen to the same books.
