I teach students in a Title I high poverty school. My 2nd grade classroom is home to a wide variety of learners. I teach students who do not speak English at home and students who do, students who struggle to learn new things and students who don't, students who get a lot of support at home and students who don't. Though my little 7 and 8 year old youngsters are diverse, they continue to be motivated, positive, respectful, and enjoy learning. They love to explore new topics. They are always eager to share ideas and work together. My goal is for each child to feel loved, encouraged, confident, and accomplished while showing academic and personal growth.
