  • Laminate It

    Funded Oct 31, 2024

I am truly grateful and blessed that you felt the urge and need to support the needs of my scholars. You donations have provided us with classroom laminator and laminating sheets.

Laminating materials for reading intervention will allow us to create durable, reusable resources like word cards, reading guides, and instructional visuals that support struggling readers.

In science and mathematics, our task cards are now free from spills because of them being laminated. Our newly laminated task cards, and posters makes it easier to engage students with clear, long-lasting visuals that withstand everyday use.

This laminator has enhanced each of our content areas by creating sustainable materials that promote active learning and engagement, helping my students succeed in all areas of their education.”

  • Water, Water, and More Water

    Funded Aug 16, 2024

The THIRST is over, thanks to your generosity. My students students now have water bottles that they fill up in the mornings and at lunch. No only did your donations provide them with new water bottles, but they provided my students with bottles of water as well. They are no longer thirsty during lessons, after recess, or gym.

I know that just like snacks are important to fuel their bellies and minds for learning, water is equally as (if not more) important! I do believe the water and water bottles gave my students a little burst of energy throughout the school day.”

  • Esperanza Rising at Your Finger Tips

    Funded Oct 7, 2024

Thank you so much for choosing my classroom project to donate to. My scholars love to read and they are enjoying Esperanza Rising. What makes your donations so great is the fact that my scholars now own their very own copies of the novel.

My students now take this novel home and read with their parents. They return to school the next day and are ready to discuss the novel as a class. My students can't put this novel down. Esperanza Rising is truly a page-turner. My students are making personal connections to Esperanza's story.

Once again thank you so much for choosing us to support.”

  • Silent Chairs and Desks

    Funded May 5, 2024

My odyssey of learning thrive on a peaceful learning environment. The addition of the tennis balls at the bases of chairs and desks has made a world of a difference to our classroom. My scholars were so amazed when they walked in the room and saw the tennis balls at the bases of our furniture. They were so eager to to test them out. When they sat and moved about, they noticed they didn't hear that loud screech. That means moving about with grace and respect was in full effect. This addition allows my students to concentrate when they get up to work their chair legs no-longer scrape loudly on the floor causing a break in concentration.

Thank you so much for your generosity.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Eric Harmon

I teach at a public charter school in a large city. While our school district is huge and has lots of resources, charter schools do not get to share access to many of those resources and are sometimes left doing more with less. My students are motivated, and eager to learn. They are interested in the changing world around them, their peers, and are both excited and overwhelmed about reading novels and making text-to-self, text-to-the world, and text-to-text connections. I am constantly seeking new ways to challenge them to continue to push their limits and achieve their goals.
