Our ECSE students come with a variety of disability categories and from a diverse community. These babydolls will give them an opportunity to develop play and communication skills while seeing themselves and their community in the materials. Our district is in the process of developing an equity initiative and providing materials that represent our students is a powerful beginning to support them in their education. I want them to feel represented on the materials they engage with and to feel valued and a part of the larger community of learners.
