  • History Comes Alive

    Funded Feb 5, 2025

With your generosity and support my students were able to dress up for their National History Day presentations. These costumes and props provided them with a more authentic feel as they transformed into Sojouner Truth and Harriet Tubman to discuss women's rights. The students had a wonderful experience and did a fantastic job on their presentations. Your support of these students had a major impact in their lives. The costumes will be used in future classes and projects. Thank you again for your support”

  • Hear Ye! Hear Ye!

    Funded Aug 19, 2024

Thank you so much for your donation of the headphones. We were able to provide headphones to all students in grades PreK through 2 through your support and generosity. Students use their headphones daily during their independent skills period. This has allowed all of our students to have access to the materials necessary to complete their assignments. These students are also learning how to be responsible for their materials and taking care of their headphones so they don't break. Thank you for your donations!”

  • Battle of the Books (Primary Edition)

    Funded Jul 31, 2024

Thank you so much for your support in obtaining these books for my primary students. We will be starting our battle of books after the winter holiday and the books will be paired off March Madness style to determine which book is our school favorite. Students will listen to each book and then vote each week on which of the two books is their favorite. In the end we will have our school favorite! I can't wait to share these books with my students and encourage their love of reading through our primary battle of the books.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Schlein

  • Battle of the Books (Graphic Novel Edition)

    Funded Jul 18, 2024

Thank you for your support in providing these graphic novels to our school library. My students love to read and I am finding that the graphic novels section is super popular. I believe that reading in the library should be for fun so anything you read is worthwhile. This growing section of the library has actually encouraged a few reluctant readers to visit the library some for the very first time. Thank you for encouraging my students and allowing them the opportunity to find books that are fun, fast, and easy!”

  • Let's Make Crazy Crayons

    Funded May 10, 2024

This project has given my students such a fun project. They are thoroughly enjoying finding out about how crayons are made and being able to make their own! Students are engaged in learning and are excited when we go into the maker space lab to work melting and molding their crayons. Thank you so much for showing interest in my students and their learning. I have enjoyed completing this unit with my students and look forward to using it with other classes in the spring semester! Your support means a lot!”

My students have been asking me when will we start preparing for the Battle of the Books at our local university. The winning team from our school gets to go to the university to compete against other schools. • Battle of the Books (Middle School Edition)

    Funded Jul 12, 2024

Thank you for encouraging my students to read books for enjoyment! They are so excited to have the opportunity to participate in our school Battle of the Books competition. Through giving students these books they have shown an interest in coming to the library and borrowing these and other books as well. I love that they are visiting me some of them two or three times a week. I can't wait for them to have the actual competition and show what they have learned. Thank you for your support and generosity.”

  • Art with 3D Printer

    Funded Jul 5, 2024

Thank you so much for helping provide 3D printer filament for our 3D printers. The students at this school are so excited to start creating their 3D print projects. I even have one student who is trying to make a dragon! Providing opportunities like this to students is important to spark their imagination, curiosity, and support their learning in a real world manner. You have made the library somewhere that students are excited to visit because they get to be creative. I appreciate your support!”

  • Cut It Up

    Funded May 8, 2024

Thank you so much for supporting this project. By providing my students these scissors you ave engaged them in learning outside of the box. Students are able to practice their fine motor skills by cutting paper. And the fun shaped scissors makes this task even more engaging.

My students loved making cards and cutting paper with the fun scissors rather than the straight ones. It gave their cards so much more character. My left hand students really like being able to manipulate the scissors with ease.

    Thank you!”

  • Read With a Friend

    Funded May 11, 2024

Thank you so much for supporting this amazing project. My students are so excited to read to these stuffies when they come into the library. They are learning to take turns as they plan on which stuffie they will read to each week. It is so much fun to watch them select their favorite book Characters and read to them. Having these no judgemental friends will help students build their confidence in reading out loud. Your support means the world to me and my students! Thank you for making reading in the library so much fun.”

    With gratitude,
