History Comes Alive
Funded Feb 5, 2025With your generosity and support my students were able to dress up for their National History Day presentations. These costumes and props provided them with a more authentic feel as they transformed into Sojouner Truth and Harriet Tubman to discuss women's rights. The students had a wonderful experience and did a fantastic job on their presentations. Your support of these students had a major impact in their lives. The costumes will be used in future classes and projects. Thank you again for your support”

Hear Ye! Hear Ye!
Funded Aug 19, 2024Thank you so much for your donation of the headphones. We were able to provide headphones to all students in grades PreK through 2 through your support and generosity. Students use their headphones daily during their independent skills period. This has allowed all of our students to have access to the materials necessary to complete their assignments. These students are also learning how to be responsible for their materials and taking care of their headphones so they don't break. Thank you for your donations!”

We will be starting our battle of books after the winter holiday and the books will be paired off March Madness style to determine which book is our school favorite. Students will listen to each book and then vote each week on which of the two books is their favorite. In the end we will have our school favorite! I can't wait to share these books with my students and encourage their love of reading through our primary battle of the books.”

Battle of the Books (Graphic Novel Edition)
Funded Jul 18, 2024Thank you for your support in providing these graphic novels to our school library. My students love to read and I am finding that the graphic novels section is super popular. I believe that reading in the library should be for fun so anything you read is worthwhile. This growing section of the library has actually encouraged a few reluctant readers to visit the library some for the very first time. Thank you for encouraging my students and allowing them the opportunity to find books that are fun, fast, and easy!”

I even have one student who is trying to make a dragon! Providing opportunities like this to students is important to spark their imagination, curiosity, and support their learning in a real world manner. You have made the library somewhere that students are excited to visit because they get to be creative. I appreciate your support!”

Funded May 8, 2024Thank you so much for supporting this project. By providing my students these scissors you ave engaged them in learning outside of the box. Students are able to practice their fine motor skills by cutting paper. And the fun shaped scissors makes this task even more engaging.
My students loved making cards and cutting paper with the fun scissors rather than the straight ones. It gave their cards so much more character. My left hand students really like being able to manipulate the scissors with ease.
Thank you!”
