Perfect Handwriting
Funded Jun 10, 2021Thank you for providing my students the materials to practice making their letters properly. I have already seen a difference in the quality of work produced and we just started back two weeks ago. Students are able to grip the primary pencils and write on the lined paper in order to demonstrate their handwriting skills. With these materials my students will be able to develop neat and legible penmanship. I can't wait to watch them grow and develop as writers over the school year. Thank you for your support!”

Funded Jul 5, 2021It is only the second week of school and our binders already have several items in them. My first graders loved receiving their new binders and couldn't wait to put the first item in it. We use the front of the binder as our dry erase board during reading and math. It is perfect to slide our math templates in the cover and show our thinking. I look forward to developing these binders with my students throughout the school year and gradually teaching them how to maintain an organized binder. Thank you for all of your support!”

Now in Color
Funded Aug 17, 2021By giving my students the gift of color ink you have enhanced our classroom in so many ways. We have been using the color ink to make thematic decorations for the classroom. We have made colorful name tags for our materials. The color ink has made our classroom bright and inviting! We have also used the color ink this past week when we were studying a piece of artwork (I And the Village). We were able to glue a color copy of this masterpiece into our notebooks and spend time making observations! My students loved having their own copy of the artwork! Thank you!”

Funded Jul 12, 2021Your support in this project has only just begun to impact the classroom. I am excited that I went into my classroom to begin to prepare for my students. As I set the air conditioner up I just imagined how terrible the school year would have started for my students. With a heat wave where temperatures reached close to 100 degrees outside I realized the impact that my students with medical issues and behavior issues would get out of being in a room where they were not overly hot. I can't wait until my students walk into the "COOLEST" room in school!”

M-a-g-n-e-t-i-c Sight Words
Funded May 3, 2021Thank you from the bottom of my heart for funding this project. These magnetic sight words are amazing. My in-person students are able to use them as a word wall in their writing. We have also started putting fill in the blank sentences on the board for students to find and use the correct sight word. Being magnetic makes them extremely easy to use and move around through out the day. My in person students have enjoyed using them during their assignments and have shown tremendous growth with their independent writing in just the few weeks we have been using them in the classroom.”

Funded Dec 25, 2020I am so glad to have the opportunity to let you know how much I appreciate your support. I have had the chance to watch my students use the books in my leveled library this year. By sending students who worked from home books on their reading levels and allowing students in the classroom the opportunity to self select books that will be fun, fast and easy. With these books available for students they are able to decode words as they learn to sound out words and use pictures to help them understand the text. Thank you for your support.”

If the Book Fits....Read It! Size H/I
Funded Dec 21, 2020Thank you so much for your donation towards my leveled library. Having books which are fun, fast, and easy for my student have helped them learn to read more fluently. Students working at home have received books on their level and can practice at home. Students in the classroom have access to a set of books which they can trade for new books each week.
Support from donors has impacted my ability to share the love of reading with my students. I have enjoyed watching them get excited about new books and forming a love of reading!”

Don't Read Like a Robot!
Funded Dec 18, 2020Thank you so much for your support in my classroom. My students have returned to the classroom in February and have begun to use the whisper phones to help them hear what they are reading. I have seen tremendous growth in their confidence and capabilities in blending words since they were given these materials. Students also use their trackers to highlight where they are on a page so they don't lose their place as easily. Having been virtual for so long at such a young age I have noticed that writing is a struggle for many students. We spend a few minutes each day using our magnetic board in order to practice writing letters and words without wasting paper. I am so excited to have these materials available for my students. Thank you for helping them bloom into great readers!”

Funded Oct 23, 2020Thank you so much for your support and generosity. Through your kindness I was able to share these books with some students and their families to help them read on their level. Having books that are "just right" not only helps achild learn to read but it builds their self confidence as well.
I am excited to share that one of my children refused to read or attempt to read anything at the beginning of the year. Now with these books in her hand she wants to read to everyone! Her mom called me so excited to let me know that A went into her room and was reading to herself with CONFIDENCE! Thank you for this precious gift!”
