Light Up Our Preschool Classroom!
Funded Mar 18, 2022Thank you so much for your donations for our light table and sensory materials! My students use the light table and materials literally every day during our sensory coping skills time and it's routinely one of the best parts of our day. I have many students who will now seek out the light table when they need a break and it has a very calming affect on them, and my staff and I find the light table extremely relaxing as well! These materials are so essential to our day that I'm not sure what we were doing before we received them! Thank you again for the donation, we will get many years of joy out of these materials.”

Sensory Play for Little Learners
Funded Aug 25, 2019Thank you so much for your generous donations to my classroom! My students are loving the items we were able to purchase thanks your your contributions.
The big cube was an immediate hit in our quiet/calm down area. The students really enjoy going inside when they want to be alone, or want a bit of quiet time. Many of them enjoy putting a beanbag chair inside and curling up with a stuffed animal and a book, and I have a couple of students who even enjoy doing work in the cube!
The new items for the water table have also been extremely popular! The floating letters and numbers makes learning the alphabet and learning to count and identify numbers a lot more fun - the students like taking a net and fishing out their letters and numbers. The floating blocks and the STEM water kit are also lots of fun - we're enjoying building floating buildings and trying out the STEM challenges.
Thank you again so much for your generosity to my class. We deeply appreciate it.”

Today a Reader, Tomorrow a Leader.
Funded Dec 30, 2017Thank you so much for the generous donations! We have received the books and my students are LOVING learning about them!
So far, we have covered snakes, polar bears, penguins, snow and the body using these materials. My students were especially enthralled with polar bears and penguins and still talk about everything we learned about these animals. The books go along with a fantastic literacy curriculum I purchased that incorporates comprehension activities, science activities and art activities, so my students are really getting an incredible wealth of information relating to these topics.
We have been doing reading every afternoon after lunch, which can be a difficult time for my kids as by the end of the day they're pretty much "over it" and just ready to go home. They really look forward to this reading time now and it has made the end of the day so much smoother!
Thank you again for your wonderful donations, the kids and I really appreciate it.”

Autism-Friendly Classroom Seating
Funded Nov 14, 2016Thank you so much for contributing to this project! My students continue to be extremely excited to use the chairs and carpets. All of my students have been able to sit on the carpet with the assistance of these items. They have also been able to bring the chairs with them to the classrooms they mainstream in to help them integrate more fully with their grade-level peers. We have also been able to bring the carpets outside during fire drills to help my students stay seated and comfortable during those confusing times.
My students and I really appreciate your generosity! Thanks again for helping us with this project!”

Ms. Klein
