Ink It!
Funded Feb 9, 2017I would like to graciously thank you for your generosity in donating to this project. We are using our ink for the better of our teacher-parent communications, academic art projects, and homework. One of the pictures is of a tri-fold board of our school's project for the District 75 Social Studies Fair. We needed the ink to print pictures to be able to present our students' hard work and dedication during our geography unit.
The students were equally grateful. They shared much gratitude for your donation as well.
Now, I am able to continue writing monthly newsletters for parents, students are able to send their behavior reports to their parents, and we are able to continue creating hands-on projects for future projects.”

Ink for Print
Funded Dec 3, 2015Your contributions have meant so much to our classroom environment. My students and I use ink quite often for materials, environment, projects and instruction. Every student has an individual schedule, which is used daily. Also, students calculate their behavioral points for the day and report it to their parents on, what we call, "The Daily Buzz." These are used throughout the week, so ink is an essential resource for a successful day! Because of your donations, we can also print visuals for read aloud stories, checklists for activities and so much more.
We appreciate your support for class V11!”

Ms. Gonzalez

Funded Dec 21, 2015My students and I are grateful for your donations. You assisted in creating a meaningful and engaging social studies environment for our class.
Every Friday, we gather on the carpet and read an article. The speech therapist pushes in to our instruction period and supports with peer to peer discussion about the interesting topics. The students have showed an active participation and involvement every week. At first, I thought the articles would be difficult for our population, but we actually found new interests in MANY of our students with the use of visual prompts.
We appreciate your contribution to the classroom!”

Supplies To Help Us Rise
Funded Jan 23, 2015My students and I would like to thank you for your gracious donation to our classroom. The children were ecstatic to have dry erase markers to check their individual schedules! They also loved the differentiated cubes because we used them for math centers (their favorite subject).
We use these resources throughout the school day. We use the pocket chart for guided reading within small groups. New vocabulary and words of focus are displayed on the small pocket chart, so the student can refer to it while reading their leveled book. We also use the differentiated cubes for many units. They loved when they had to roll the dice, which demonstrated digital time and they had to express it in analog form on their clocks.
This project helped engage the students in all areas.”

Sensory Overload
Funded Apr 11, 2014Our class greatly appreciates your contribution to the project. We have been using these items as great motivators during lessons and social skills time. They have shared tremendous laughs with each other every time the items are in use.
We utilize the Moon Sand as a behavioral reinforcer for students who are following classroom expectations. They are rewarded with various choices if they receive 10 stars by the end of the day. The sand and building blocks have been the most popular stations for quite some time. We also use building blocks for a multiple of math lessons such as comparing numbers, which is more, which is less as well as addition and subtraction.
This project has boosted my teaching experience and students' learning so much. Because the students have an engaging reward to work for throughout the day, they are truly doing remarkably.”

Ms. Gonzalez
A Place to Sit
Funded Sep 17, 2014My students are truly, beyond appreciative of your donations. Because of your kind gesture, the 12 boys are able to feel comfortable reading their favorite books.
We also use the carpet for every subject during our whole group instruction. Remarkably, they each sit in their defined space and are much more focused on me and the SMART Board. They absolutely love spending "silent reading" time on the carpet and the bean bags. It is also a great space to sit and read with them, which they enjoy so much.
Thank you so much for sharing the same vision of teaching with me!”

Ms. Gonzalez
Ready To Read-The Books Are All We Need!
Funded Jan 26, 2014Thank you so much for donating to this project . The children were grateful and most of them understood the extremely kind gesture. Each child watched as I opened the package and they all were in awe when they saw the amount of books!
The students use the books daily after morning meeting. We use them for our word study unit. During our guided reading time I sit with two children and we practice new skills. The worksheets in the pack are very helpful for sight word recognition practice.
They are learning tremendously with the help of these books. I really see them understanding words and recognizing them in our environment.”

Desperately Need Sensory Materials
Funded Dec 31, 2013My students and I are greatly appreciative of your donations. Their reactions to the items were truly a pleasure to witness. They expressed such joy to the products as I explained each one and its purpose. Before I displayed the materials, I instructed mini lessons and tutorials on how and when to use each item. Students are still very eager to participate in these math activities, especially the sand table. Various levels use the counters and numbers every day. Some students are mastering basic addition, some are mastering number recognition of numbers 1-10 while others are improving greatly on one to one correspondence. During these math centers, one great student interest is the sand table. A teacher's assistant guides students through math games using the shells and the sand. Seeing these students actively engaged while enjoying their education has made me strive to continue to be creative for their academic and social progression.”
