Ms. Pierce has been teaching art since 2001. She has a BFA, with a ceramics emphasis from the University of Utah and a Technology and ESL Endorsement from BYU. Ms. Pierce received the "Exemplary Teacher Award" from the Salt Lake City School District in 2012. In the spring of 2015, she received Mountain America's "Silent Hero Award" after a student submitted an essay nominating Ms. Pierce. She likes helping students become their best, develop skills, and better understand the arts. In her free time, Ms. Pierce loves to sew, make art, and roller skate.
