Our class of high school students with disabilities love to get out in the community to practice the skills they learn in the classroom. We make weekly trips to the grocery store to shop for our cooking class. It is also a great opportunity to practice social skills and promote independence. The use of money calculators will help students to add money both in class and out in public for students that may struggle with counting coins on their own. The Money Curriculum will help our class practice and learn new skills we can apply in the community. Money games and puzzles are a great resource to make learning fun and engaging and reinforce concepts.
