Thank you so much for your generous donation to my ESL kindergarten and second grade classroom. I am overwhelmed and very grateful that you would find my classroom worthy of a donation. • A Healthy, Cozy, Clean Classroom!

    Funded Nov 20, 2023

First of all I'd like to thank you so much for your generous contributions to our kindergarten and second grade students. Your donations to our students have made such an impact on creating a healthy, cozy, clean classroom.

When the Clorox wipes, plug-ins, and Kleenex arrived, the students helped organize them in the storage closet and clean the tables off. Our room smelled sparkly clean! I personally took the extra kleenex to their homeroom classes for distribution and classroom use. The students were thrilled to have new markers and enjoyed the colorful handouts I made using the colored cardstock. They were bubbling with enthusiasm.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Bugnacki

  • Latino Representation in Our School!

    Funded Sep 28, 2023

Thank you so very much for your generous funding of my proposal! I was inspired to have our Multilingual students celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month in October being that 87% of students identify as hispanic. The "moment" that was made possible by your contributions was when students participated in a Hispanic Heritage Parade. Many dressed up, created posters & flags using donated materials, and waved flags through the hallways of our decorated schools. The pride that exuded from them was palpable!!!

Additionally, I have discovered the importance of having my diverse students represented in the books we read in class. I primarily have students whose families immigrated from Puerto Rico, Ecuador, Yemen, Ukraine and many other Latin American countries. As a minority teacher myself, I know how wonderful and rare it is to be able to make a cultural connection with someone. That is exactly the type of experience my students have been afforded via this funding of multicultural books.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Bugnacki

  • Back-to-School Basics for my Multilingual Learners!

    Funded Sep 10, 2023

Thank you so very much for your generous funding of my proposal! My students were ecstatic to receive the items and help me open the Amazon boxes. I was excited to be able to give the students some of your donations to bring home so they could have resources at home to complete their homework.

Your donation of materials have been helpful in having my students gain some confidence in themselves and tranisition to their new school. Students were excited to play some of the games that were donated and began learning some English while having fun and being highly engaged. They had so much fun, they didn't realize they were learning!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Bugnacki

  • Creepy Crawlies in 2nd grade!

    Funded Dec 12, 2023

Thank you so much for your generosity and kindness. You are making a big difference in my students lives. They have learned so much about insects and are eager to learn more facts and write their own books and make their own projects. These resources will go along way. Thanks.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Bugnacki

  • Behold the Butterflies!

    Funded Nov 8, 2023

Thank you so much for your generous donations to making my teaching more engaging! My students will be so excited to witness the life cycle of butterflies and moths. They have been studying this and learning many details about the process. The materials you donated will go a long way!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Bugnacki

  • Seeing the World in Color!

    Funded Jun 12, 2023

I am happy to say that your book contributions are helping my classroom library look more representative of the students in my multilingual classroom. Some connections that have been made are characters with skin colors that resemble theirs, foods they are familiar with and that are served in their home, and people who dress like their families do.

These books are sparking my students' confidence, joy, empowerment, and success. The enthusiasm and engagement for listening to my read-aloud is over the roof. I can't thank you enough!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Bugnacki

  • Classic Children's Books and Centers

    Funded Mar 30, 2023

My multilingual students were so excited to have these additions to our classes. The highlights of these donations are the Alphabet Sounds Teaching Tubs and the Alphabet Mystery box. The students beg to use them every class. I have had to make them into more of a reward.

These resources have brought more engagement to my lessons and a higher retention of key vocabulary and letter sounds and letter identification. Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity. It is making such a difference in my classroom!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Bugnacki

  • Engaging Educational Resources for Multilingual Leaners!

    Funded Mar 2, 2023

Thank you for you generosity. I spend a lot of time looking at Pinterest and online resources to reach my students. Many of these innovative teachers publish their ideas on Teachers Pay Teachers. I have many ideas saved from these resources and now will have the ability to use them.

The Teachers Pay Teachers gift cards have helped me with effective planning that can reach my multilingual student. I have purchased unique and creative resources that were made by teachers and are extremely engaging. Thanks so much!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Bugnacki

We are a group of approximately 50 multilingual students that are learning English in grades k-5 in an urban inner-city setting in Connecticut. The majority of the students come from Spanish-speaking homes but some do come from Arabic and Uzbek-speaking homes. They are assigned to a homeroom class and come to me throughout the day to meet in small groups. I help them practice their English skills and gain confidence to speak. We have fun learning in room 19!
