Make the Sun Shine in Kindergarten!
Funded Aug 2, 2023Thank you so much for the wonderful supplies provided through your generous donation to our project. The curtains provide a warm, homey feel to our classroom as does the mirror in the class bathroom. The grey chair is what I use as my teacher chair when students are gathered on the carpet for learning. The students love the canvas totes for their headphones and mice for use with their Chromebook, which are even better with their iron on number on it so the bags are easily differentiated from one another.
Needless to say the students absolutely love the materials provided for them to enjoy their time in the classroom learning and working hard even more! Thanks again for your kind donations to our classroom! We truly appreciate your generosity!”

Funded Jan 17, 2023Thank you so much for your kind support of our classroom! Students love coming to the small group table because they are able to pick a wobble seat when they come! They also love going to the library now even more than before since they have the comfy blue seats to sit in while reading in our teepee now. When I first opened the packages the seats came in the students were so excited to see what the boxes could possibly be! Thank you again for being such a kind supporter of our classroom and my students! I know they are just as grateful as I am!”

To Read or Not to Read?
Funded Oct 5, 2022I just want to express to you how amazing this project has been for our classroom! We now have new books for our classroom library that students can read during our literacy rotations. But, these selections of books also serve as the read aloud for the beginning of many lessons, especially writing, mathematics and science and social studies.
We recently used the book Fletcher the Falling Leaves to review our learning about the fall seasons. After reading the book aloud to the class, we discussed how the tree looked in fall and how it changed throughout the book. Then the students went and created their own fall tree with their hand being traced with part of their arm for the tree and a Q-tip and some paint to serve as the leaves.
Additionally, the students loved Duck for President, which we read during Election Day for Social Studies. We learned about voting and elections through the use of this book. Students got to vote for Duck or Farmer Brown to be the president. Of course, Duck won in our class! Thus, these books are helping learning to come to life in our classroom and we cannot thank you enough for doing that for my students!”

Funded Apr 14, 2021Thank you for helping to provide this project to my kindergarteners! The storage totes have ensured that classroom materials are easily organized for each month of learning. The books provided have enhanced the social emotional teaching I do with my kindergarteners. The Kissing Hand is a book we used at the beginning of the year to help ease the transition from being at home to being in school. It is also the book I use to show students where everything is in the school as a scavenger hunt! Thank you again for all that you have brought to my students! We both are greatly appreciative!”

Funded Apr 21, 2021Thank you so much for your help in fulfilling this project to provide wireless headphones for my kindergarteners! These headphones were specifically selected to use for the classroom's listening center where students go to listen to stories during literacy rotations. These headphones allow students to be cordless and not accidentally pull the whole listening center over when they accidentally forget to take their headphones off. The wireless headphones are fantastic to ensure students do not get tangled in cords and help to keep the listening center looking neat and tidy! Thanks a bunch for your help in providing these for my students!”

Funded Jun 8, 2021Thank you so much for your kind donation to this project that provided the ladibug for our classroom! We have used the ladibug so much already! The ladibug allows me to put pages we are working on, on the smartboard for everyone to be able to see from his or her table. Not only can I do that with pages we are working on, but I can also do that with books we are reading so all students can see the pages no matter where they are in the room! The students absolutely love being able to see things larger and on the smartboard as this was made more difficult with the plexiglass dividers at their tables because of the coronavirus. Thanks again for helping to ensure all students can see books and pages no matter where they are in the room!”

Funded Feb 19, 2021When students first saw these boxes they immediately wanted to know when they could try the boxes out and why we had received presents! I told them about our wonderful donors and they couldn't wait to try out the new materials!
We are using these resources in a multitude of ways! We are using the measuring tools to make our math measurement unit come to life! Then we are using the Three Billy Goats Gruff building kit for our literacy unit on the Three Billy Goats Gruff. We will use our Gingerbread man kit for our Gingerbread man week in December. We will use the other fairy tale kits towards the end of the year as we talk about each in our literacy unit.
Thank you again for helping to make learning come to life with our fairy tale STEM kits and measurement tools!”

Funded Oct 19, 2020Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity! My students are loving all the art materials and supplies your donations provided them! They are using their glue sponges daily! Just the other day we created aluminum foil snowflakes using the glue sponges provided through this project and the cardstock paper your donations also helped to provide!
Not only are the students loving their glue sponges, but they are also loving their writing folders, take home folders, must do folders and center folders! They are using the writing folders every day to store their writing they are working on. The writing folders also hold their alphabet charts to help when they are sounding out words. They also love their take home folders that helps keep them organized with papers that can stay at home and ones that return to school! Students are staying organized with their must do folders as well! These folders hold all the work students still need to finish. Lastly, the students favorites are probably their centers folder, which helps to ensure we can still do centers safely even with the pandemic.
Thank you again so much for the donations and support you have provided to my students! We greatly appreciate all of our donors on this project!”

Funded Oct 6, 2020Thank you so much for your donations to this project! My students were so devastated last year when our listening center broke and they were no longer able to listen to stories together. This years class is excited to be able to have our listening center back in operation! It runs a little differently than it did before the pandemic, but it is still one of my students favorite center rotation! And it is one that I love them to do as the stories help to tie in and reinforce our learning!
We have been and will be using our listening center to help reinforce our economics lessons along with our literacy and math lessons. We will use our listening center to listen again to the Little Red Hen Makes a Pizza, and this year, we will have to save our pizza making for an at home activity. We use our listening center to review stories when learning about money too!
They also love being able to use the sit spots in the classroom every day! They love the different colors they each have and being able to gather (socially distanced) together for lessons and learning!
Once again, thank you so much for your support with this project and of my students and classroom!”

Funded Aug 7, 2020Thank you so much again for your generous donations that enabled my project to be fully funded! The kids are absolutely loving the story pieces that allow them to retell the stories during literacy rotations! These story pieces also allow me to bring the story to life as I read it to them, which they adore!
When we first opened the boxes and I told my students they had received presents they could not wait to see what the presents were! They could not wait to use them! Normally my retelling center is drab and one students do not typically choose to go to, but now they can't get enough time there!
Thank you again for helping another corner of my classroom to be enhanced and to shine a little brighter! The students and I are so appreciative! We will continue to explore all the story pieces to all the books throughout the year! I have only put a few at a time to keep the pieces organized. The kids cannot wait to see what story is next!”
