The materials requested cover the entire K-8 grade levels in all subject areas. Gifted learners frequently do not experience the intellectual challenge they deserve in a regular classroom. Most teachers on my campus do not have resources to accommodate gifted students' learning needs. As a result, their needs get overlooked; the gifted students correlate their learning experience in school with boredom and lack of intellectual stimulation. As a gifted lead teacher on my campus, I struggle providing our teachers with materials that would offer enrichment activities. Regular classroom teachers lack extension/enrichment assignments they could incorporate in their instruction. Having these sources available would help create a mini-library of resources that all teachers at my school could explore. As a result, teachers will be able to provide instruction for ALL students and enhance their teaching according to their students' needs. Once the library is established, teachers will be able to provide differentiation activities to all future gifted students.
