My six year olds attend a charter school in which most families are part of the low socio-economic class. Most of my students don't have the opportunity to go to many places, therefore their experiences are very limited. Most of them are also ESL students, trying to learn the English language as well as the academic demands of our school. My first graders are very hard working and are always ready to explore with enthusiasm. They come to school and try their hardest to learn as much as possible. They work together to help each other understand and be successful.
