It is the summer before my first year teaching as a certified teacher. The classroom is bare with 3 empty book shelves, 6 tables that sit 4 and enough chairs for each. This classroom has yet to go through the change in preparation for the little bodies and minds that will enter through the door the last week in August. In less than 2 months, I must transform this bare classroom into a welcoming and engaging learning environment for my scholars. My goal is to foster a love for learning and exploring the world around them. The classroom will be a safe and comforting space for all students to learn.
