My students will use the sand and paint to touch and feel, measure and pour the sand in small group centers.
These products will increase their participation, improve their fine motor skills and provide them with new experiences in our science center.
Sand and beanbags are a great way for students with hyper activity to calm and focus through play. Teaching them how to play is a big component of center time.
Exposing students to various sensations helps them self-regulate, focus and attend to tasks all of which are basic cognition goals for our students.
When students use the paint they will create something on their own. They will be so proud of themselves when they see what they have created using their hands.
