I teach in an amazing elementary school just outside of Grand Rapids, Michigan. I teach one of the five self-contained Autism classrooms in my school. Brookwood values inclusion and our school community welcomes and supports our ASD students in the general education classrooms. We have 32 students total with ASD. My 7 students are kindergarten and 1st graders ,who struggle with receptive and expressive language, staying focused, as well as appropriate social interactions.
