State Testing Treats
Funded Mar 6, 2025Thank you so much for the quick response and help! I am so excited to get this project ready in time for the end of the year! I cannot emphasize how much this class means to me so I'm thrilled to do something special for them before saying goodbye.
In a day and age when there is so much pressure on our young generations to do well on tests, I'm glad to be able to provide just a little bit of fun. This is a job that takes a team to do, so thank you for joining my team to provide these gifts for my class!”

Fun Furniture!
Funded Jul 29, 2024Thank you so much for the constant support! My students were so excited when we got the couches delivered and the stools. The stools are used every day and allow my students to move around the classroom easily without having to drag the heavy school chairs around the room. They also use the stools to set up a reading "bar" in the classroom library by using the shelves as the table and the stools as the chairs.
The couches have been the best addition by far. The students will literally squish themselves on top of each other to get a chance to sit on them and do reading or their computer work. I've created a calm area with a table and fake plant to make it more homey, and the students beg me to let them sit there.
As for the cabinet, I am still working on setting it up for its full purpose, but I am excited to get that finally set up. Lastly, the laminator has been an absolute game changer! I'm able to just quickly laminate things as needed from name tags to certificates/awards without having to find time during recess or lunch to go heat up the big school laminator.”

Games for Gains
Funded Nov 4, 2023Thank you again for helping support this amazing group of students. They were ecstatic when the boxes arrived and opened to reveal a ton of board games. We spent the following Friday having a game day where they got to play and enjoy all of the games. They enjoyed them so much, they asked if the other 2nd grade class could come over to play as well. After some scheduling rearrangements, we had all 40 2nd graders playing together. During our fun Fridays, my students normally draw or play on their tablets, but since receiving the games, they are more interested in playing them than the technology.
The games were also used during the Winter Academy Program to make the day more enjoyable and fun for everyone attending. My colleague and I are already planning on having more game days and digging deep into the topics the games are teaching so we can incorporate them into our lessons/rotations.”

Funded Jul 22, 2023Thank you for your generous donations. I was able to set up the classroom with the new bins for the books and the Little Spot Books will come in handy in a few months! This is the first year where I have bins that match and no students are arguing over which color they get. The students walked into a room where everything was organized and it started the year off on a nice calm road. I am excited to get started with the Little Spot books and the characters have already made an appearance in our calming corner. The students are asking questions and I am excited to introduce them as we learn and begin our Social Emotional Lessons.”

Flexible Seating for Second
Funded May 18, 2023Thank you again for your constant support with my classroom. We received the items during the last week of school so unfortunately were unable to fully use them. However, my students were over the moon excited that their project was fully realized and supported. They were excited to use the furniture for those few short days and I am excited to get to incorporate it into my routines for next year.
This furniture has already gotten me thinking about classroom layout and the future of how my classroom runs. It will allow me to gain more space in the classroom by removing bulky desks and chairs, which then gives the students and myself more space to collaborate and have fun. As I have to move classrooms this year, I'm sure more projects will be popping up in the fall! I'm excited to see how fully incorporated flexible seating works in the new space and what needs to be done to achieve this goal!”

Making Math Masters
Funded Jan 3, 2023Thank you for helping fund this project! The students were so excited to see the new items for the counting collections and I've been working hard getting the rest of the bins set up for math rotations.
When I first showed the students the new collections set up in the bins, they all got really excited because they saw that we had more bins that were empty. Once I explained that the empty bins were going to be full of more games, they got even more excited! I've been working with the parent center to print, laminate, and cut out the extra games for the bins and will hopefully have them ready to use by next week.
My co-worker is also working hard to set up her bins for her classroom and we've both started using the puzzles in class. One group asked me to do a puzzle and were super excited to start working on the one I had put a hundreds chart on.
Once again, thank you for not only helping my classroom, but my whole grade level with this fun and engaging project!”

Recycle Rangers
Funded Sep 18, 2022Thank you all for helping the second grade team begin this recycling program at our school. We've already introduced the materials and the students are currently reading about the environment and how to take care of it. There have already been discussions that the students created about making a club and informing all of the students at our school about recycling and taking care of the campus.
We will begin having the students take time to dress up in their Recycle Ranger uniforms (now including visors to protect from the sun!) and gather trash from the yard and quad areas. They have already created the rules and expectations of the club and are eager to get started! This would not have been possible without the continued support from everyone! ”

Funded Oct 18, 2022Thank you for all of your support! We've received the headphones and have already put them to good use! The students were so excited when I showed them what was inside the giant box, and now whenever we use our tablets, their eyes light up and ask to use the headphones. Not only that, but they are so much more focused on their read aloud books and learning programs now that they are not having to strain to listen to the words out loud.
I appreciate all of the help and support that was shown to get this project funded as quick as it did! It is always exciting to see a community come together and support the future generations!”

Funded Jun 5, 2022Thank you so much for the support to fund this project! We've been slowly getting the chairs in and not only do the students love them, but I love them as well! We've been getting routines and procedures into place with the wobble chairs and are putting the rocking chair into great use every day!
Right now, the wobble chairs are being used during independent reading time. Soon, table groups will be able to use the chairs each week at their desks. The rocking chairs is an important part of our daily writing routine. My class is beginning writers and readers workshop, and a big component of this program is the students getting to sit in a special "author's chair" while they read their work to the class. The students are so excited to come up and sit in the big chair while reading that there is always hands in the air when it is time to ask for volunteers.
Thank you again for the donations - so much has been accomplished with everyone's help!”

Funded Apr 21, 2022Thank you so so much for helping this awesome cart come to my classroom! I was so giddy opening the box this week and being able to finally organize all of the various art supplies. I am so excited to go back to work and keep organizing all of the materials. I am also excited to show it off to my current class before they leave for the summer, and anticipating how awesome it will be with my new class next year! Two of my students were in the room when the cart arrived and they were so eager to help me open it up. If that is any preview of how my class is going to react on Monday, it is going to be great!
I am switching grade levels next year, and have to switch classrooms. However, this cart has already become so important in this process as I am able to store all of my art materials in one place (with wheels!!) instead of having everything scattered in various boxes. Thank you again to everyone who helped this come to fruition, and I can't wait to see this cart being used fully next year!”
