  • Engaging Learning Centers for Eager Kindergartners

    Funded Mar 9, 2016

    Dear Donor,

Thank you does not even begin to express the gratitude I have for your generous donation.

Your donation has made it possible for my students to receive the writing, reading informational and reading literature teaching centers as well as the heavy-duty mobile book organizer. My students are enjoying the teaching centers. We are able to work on the various activities in small groups where we generate a list of ideas and then they organize the information to do their writing.

The heavy-duty mobile book organizer has been visited many times by the students in search of good books. I especially enjoy that it is mobile and I have been able to move it to several parts of the classroom and my students have easy access to it. The students are also able to keep all the books organized and can easily find the titles that they frequently enjoy reading.

I know that these materials will be enjoyed for years to come. I am truly grateful for your generosity.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Castaneda

  • The Next Scientists

    Funded Mar 9, 2016

    Dear #BestSchoolDay,

I am truly grateful for the donation to my project, "The Next Scientist." My students were thrilled when I informed them of the donation and how our project was fully funded. They anxiously awaited for its arrival. When the materials arrived they eagerly explored the boxes.

We have had an opportunity to explore one of the Real-World STEM challenge kits and the questions and connections that my students made were truly remarkable. The challenge was to create a parachute and safely land it. After designing their own parachutes my students were able to try it out and make changes to their design to be successful, along the way they communicated with their peers and negotiated on what changes were necessary to meet the challenge.

I would like to thank you again for providing the materials that continue to make learning enjoyable in my classroom.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Castaneda

  • Imagine and Create It!

    Funded Dec 29, 2014

I would like to thank you for the wonderful donation to our kindergarten classroom. The students were thrilled when the materials arrived at our school. We have been continuously using the Magic Shapes and the Magna-tiles to review and reinforce the skills of identifying shapes and creating objects by putting shapes together. My students enjoy creating rockets, houses, castles, and other amazing objects. During independent work time, the students are encouraged to work in cooperative groups. They discuss what shapes to put together and then they try it out. The students then write about their explorations in their journals. These materials have allowed my students to explore with 3 dimensional objects, rather than just using plane shapes. This project has impacted my students' learning in all academic areas; they are enthusiastic about math and geometric shapes, they enjoy drawing and writing about their explorations and then sharing the writing with others, and most importantly they are learning how to communicate effectively with their peers. Thank you so much for your wonderful and generous donation!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Castaneda

  • Kindergarten Memories

    Funded Aug 23, 2012

Your generosity for donating to my kindergarten classroom project is greatly appreciated. I know my students and I will be able to do excellent art activities to put in their kindergarten memory books. My students are thrilled to create projects and writings to record their experiences in kindergarten. This book will be forever cherished. Thank you for making these activities possible.

It is exciting to know that there are people who value education and believe in contributing in the future of our children. My students and I appreciate all your contributions. Thank you.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Castaneda
